I should be heading to CP next Sunday through Tuesday. If you have any suggestions and things of that nature you can post them here. I'll probably have a trip report when I come back.

Sorry Edge, I don't have a decent video camera and I don't have the money to buy a new one.[:(] I would love to take video, but I can't.

I could try and get my friend's camera, but I would have to have someone else edit it for me cause I've never editted before.

I'm pretty sure I can get the camera. I'm not going to get any onrides as I'm not very good at sneaking things. I'll get video of all the major coasters, MaxAir, and power tower. Tell me if that's enough or not. I'm not gonna edit so I'll send one of you guys to edit it and put music to it. OK?

Yeah, don't try to sneak it on. They don't like that to much.

Hey it's me again. Can't wait to leave. I'll be staying at castaway bay so i'll get an onride of their master blaster jk. I doubt I'll be getting video though, so sorry Edge. I'll arrive at Castaway Bay around 2-3 so I'll spend the part of the day before the starlight passes kick in. I'll have some ride reviews when i get back. Ok?

sounds good, have fun! Don't waste all day on grabbing footage of rides. It ruins the fun of going to a park.

Shame, we dont have a video of Cedar Point on here yet, and you would have thought it being one of the biggest parks around we would have. I'm sure there will come a time

I'll be leaving in about 3 hours, but not with the camera [:(]. My friend's dad didn't like the idea and it is his camera. Maybe I'll get one for Christmas. Well I should be back on Tuesday night and I'll have coaster and MaxAir reveiws. I've been there 2 times in the last two years so I pretty much know what to expect, but this year I'm gonna ride TTD (I didn't ride it the last 2 times because I have a fear of height and I don't like the experience of launching). Oh well, see you guys Wendsday.

Arg, I'm unable to take any onride photos or videos of any sort to CP (too much crap with permissions and stuff, don't have anything to hold it, mom won't let me do it with the digicam, and it has low battery and memory) Oh well, sorry guys.

If you have any suggestions and things of that nature you can post them here.

Well, make sure you get there at or before it opens, run to all the front rides so their lines don't pile up. Later on, you may want to mvoe ahead of the crowd and go to the back. I'm not really sure, I just went all over the place yesterday.

Why does'nt someone call ahead and ask the Park if they will allow you to take pictures and videos on the ride. If anything, it should benefit the ride and the park (free advertising). That's what the Theme Park Review People did.

Cedar Point does not allow it ever. Robb Alvey did have onride footage of CP rides on his site and he was contacted by Cedar Fair to remove all content.

They just dont allow it.

Plus its CP, they need to extra advertising.

^What about coastersims? They just don't know about it? If they're that desperate anyways, they could google and tell every site to remove it.

I'm going very soon and taking my video camera. Will have a park mix vid and probably a TTD and MF vid to themselves if admin will bite on them. I'm hoping to get POVs on the some of the coasters, Raptor, Mean Streak, Magnum and hopefully MF but don't count on it as I know that CF is harsh on cams on coasters. I've been to BGT who wouldn't even let a bag in the queue and heard that CF is the same on MF and TTD. Oh well, you can still get awesome footage w/o onrides. =)

I'm back from Cedar Point, and Jimths08 they don't allow any bags or anything to be taken on to MF or TTD. Heck I overheard one guy saying he got kicked out of the station after waiting an hour and a half, because his glasses weren't sucured and he didn't have pockets.

Hey, here I am back from CP. Had a great time, have some interesting things to tell. First off ride reveiws.

Millennium Force, 9.5 out of 10, rode 3 times (second row, second car, back seat): Well it's Millenium Force what can I say that you haven't heard already. The airtime was great, it was running smooth everything was fine. Here's a tip ride in back. The lines moved well, I waited 1 1/2 hrs the first time, 20 mins the second time (came in early), and an 1 1/2 hrs the second time due to a brakedown and slow response to a seatbelt unbuckling. Well about this seatbelt unbuckling, I overheard him talking to the sucrity guard writing up his fine. He said he was only trying to losen the belt on the lift cause it was too tight. This caused an E-stop. The bad part and the thing that really irks me is that it took them 20 minutes to send up that little elevator to tell the guy to buckle his seatbelt.

Magnum XL-200, 9 out of 10, rode 5 times (back twice, ejector seat twice, middle once): Magnum XL-200 tied for my favorite ride, all because of that magical ejector airtime on that bunny hop run. The first drop is great, it takes the second hill a bit slow, the turnaround is bumpy, but from then on it is airtime bliss (as long as the trim before the turnaround doesn't get ya). It was a bit rougher than I remember, but it was around the same when I rode in the middle seat of the car. Nothing happen out of the ordinary on this ride.

Raptor, 8.5 out of 10, rode 3 times (front twice second car once): Hopefully I can say this and not start a huge argument, but this imo is the best invert ever made. The frist drop is astonding, you actually get airtime on it. The loop and 0g roll are taking with great speed as is the cobra roll. The MCRB doesn't even slow you down and you shoot into the final two corkscrews and that wonderful helix. I do have a couple gripes though. first there is a bit of head banging in the Cobra roll and first cork. Second, the run onto the final brakes, worse imo to the turn on to the MCRB on Mantis. A great ride, and as always the line moved fast to good operations.

Mantis, 8 out of 10, rode 3 times (front middle second row): This thing imo gets worse reviews the I belive it deserves. Yes there is headbanging, sowhat Raptor has headbanging also. The train vibrates too much, ever fide MF on the first drop? This ride is usually hit or miss with people, but it is one of my favorites. I've had good and bad rides, but never ones so bad they detracted from the ride. The drop and loop are great, The diveloop is cool, The inclined loop is weird to say the least. The run onto the MCRB is rough, but not as rough as Raptor's final brake turn thing. The cork is fun as are the twisty things at the end. i really love those twisties because I love going from one heartlined direction to the other cause you feel like you're floating standing up. Ride never had too long a wait and the ride moved resonably fast. Nothing out of the ordinary happend here.

Wicked Twister, 7.5 out of 10, rode twice (who knows where): It launches it shoots you up a spike, it does that 5 times and there's the ride. It's fun but never really fun to me, as I am afraid of launces even if they count them down. bucause you never know when then BAMM. Lines were ok, bu move fairly slowly the second time, walk on the first time. Something out of the ordinary happened here. The ride op was talking in different and sometimes funny ways.

Blue Streak, 7.5 out of 10, (back 3 times): A good ride but CP isn't exaclty maintaining it well, it was noteably rougher than last year, and seemed like a different ride than compared to 2 years ago. The airtime is good, but it was rough, but nothing that a ride in the middle row of hte car couldn't fix. Ride in back the airtime is great. Line moved very slowly, firstday 45mins second walk-on, third one train, 30mins from inside the station. nothing out of the ordinary here.

Mean Streak, 7 out of 10, rode 4 times (middle all 4): I'm torn over this ride. I rode it two years ago without the trim on the drop, great ride, tons of airtime, really fast, great sense of speed. I rode it this year with the trim boring, rough, no airtime hardly a sense of speed. That trim brake makes all the difference. On one hand I really like the design and I think it is a great ride. On the other hand it's insanly rough the trim and MCRB kill any adreniline. Wait was short as no one wants to ride it. Nothing out of the odinary here.

Wildcat, 7 out of 10, rode once: Great ride, a little bit rough seems slower than last year, but still very fun. Line was ok. Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Gemini, 7 out of 10, rode once (back seat): Rougher than last year. Still an airtime festival. Racing very fun. Lines very short (highest capacity ride in the world). Nothing out of the ordinary here.

Corkscrew, 6.5 out of 10, rode once (middle): Noteably rougher than last year, the airtime hurts, headbanging in the crokscrews. Line moved slow running 2 trains. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Disaster Transport, 6 out of 10, rode once (middle): Very mundane, ride ruined by two girls sitting behind me screaming their heads of the entire time. didn't feel like waiting 45mins again for a boring ride. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Iron Dragon, 5.5 out of 10, rode once (middle): Very boring and full of headbanging. Pretzal finale somewhat fun though. Walk-on. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Woodstock's Express 4 out of 10, rode once (middle): How do they let children on this thing? It was insanely rough, and I waited 30 mins. Simply for the credit. Nuff said.

Cedar Creek Mine ride, 4 out of 10, rode once (back): For the credit, Nuff said.

Non-coasters:

Maxair, 7.5 out of 10 rode once (seat 1): This ride wasn't all that great. Yeah, there was a bit of aitime, but that's all. Faily tame. Line moved fast only 15mins from the overflow line. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Power Tower (Shot Tower) 7.5 out of 10, rode once (seat 12): I know the drop tower is better, but if there's one thing I hate more than launches it's drops. The shot was fun and good airtime. A fun ride. 5min wait. Nothing out of the ordinary.

So there are my ride reviews, I didn't ride TTD (somewhat explained above). The service was good, but that MF E-stop really got on my nerves. Good thing it was my last ride of the trip. I would recommend a trip to CP for anyone.

Tips:

On Magnum, Gemini, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, and Blue Streak ride in the middle of the car. It improves ride quality exponentially.

Whatever you do DON'T under any circumstances fo on a weekend. I was there Sunday night and the lines just never disappeared. The crowd was there the entire day.
