Finally...Reatil pricing for X-Box 360 console. Here's the article:

http://gr.bolt.com/articles/xbox360/xbox360_price.htm

Damn...I've totaled that up to be around $600 total for a small expierience on the console. the Console ($399, $400), two controllers ($49.99 each, $100), memory card thingy? ($49.99 $50), one game ($59.99?, $60).

With X-Box live, it costs about $80 more, and also some stuff that sounds cool.

If you want the best (battery pack (25 hours of wireless game-play), headset, more controllers, another game, etc.) you'll be spening around $800-1000 on the machine.[;)]

So start saving!

[edit] supposively...the console will be sold with a "Core System" featuring items (listed on the site) that will be retailed cheaper than the average. I dunno if that'll just be for the first few months and/or a exchange/pre-order price tag...but that'll be what I'm aiming for.[:)]

Thats the reason i am sticking to PC. I, in no way whatsoever would spend that much on XBox, for a start (barre Halo 2) all the game suck for X-Box....although i did enjoy Tiger Woods 2005

Forza Motorsport owns. Halo 1 and 2 are obvious. The sports games are quite awesome as well.

Are these details set in stone? I believed that it was going to go for closer to 300 dollars not 400.

Just what I thought, it does sell for 300. But thats the basic. If you dont need all the frills of the "Ultimate" experience (which all you realy need is the box, controllers and if you have Hi-def and surround sound, the Hi-def package. Thats all you really need. Everything else is frivolous.

The 360 core sytem is just the system itself, with a wired controller, im not sure if it comes with a detachable hard drive or not, the free XBL service, and I think thats it, The core system package will retail at $299.99. The premium or silver package, which comes with a headset, the dvd playback kit, a wireless controller, I think a web cam, the free XBL service, and a detachable hard drive, a memory card I think, and a special HD hookup or whatever made just for the 360 will retail at $399.99.

If you want to, you could also preorder a 360 package at either ebgames or gamestop. Just go to their website to see.

Yea, I have no need for the headset (people just talk like immature 12 years olds anyways - cussing and screaming when they die), the extra HD, webcam or the DVD playback.

The only thing I would remotely want is wireless but the last thing I need are batteries to change or to go out while Im in a game. Ive never had issues with cords - but wireless is a different story.

I would rather own a customizable PC that I could upgrade. I mean console's are great but idk the pricing just keeps getting more and more rediculous.

cause like i said before, the idiotic obessed obese gamers that havn't got a life to call their own (sorry to anyone i just offended) will buy them, so the price goes up and people buy it's a tad alarming that less and less people want to accually enjoy life as opposed to spend every second of their lives playing games.

*GASPS* I'm not fat! Lol. I run track too...[^]

But...there are games that I'm looking forward too for X-Box 360 that also come out on PC earlier

Quake IV comes out about two months before the one on X-Box 360
Same with Elder Scrolls: Oblivion
Same with PREY (when that comes out, PC is said to launch a lot earlier, think of the DOOM3 port)

Other games like Gears of War, Full Auto (or w/e), and some others that look decent. If I am going to get one (doubtful...i like the PC now) I'll probably sell my PS2 and it's games just to tone down the Core Package to about...$299 or something (retail price $399??)

Anyway, you're just going to pay $300 which will hit $400 so you'l end up paying $500 anyway...it's still not a lot cheaper than not buying Core Package or w/e[;)]

errr MasterPi. The Preimium X360 console includes all this:

# Xbox 360 Premium System ($399.00)
* Xbox 360 Game Console
* Wireless Controller
* Combination High-Definition Component and Standard A/V Cable
* 20GB Hard Drive
* Ethernet Cable
* Headset
* Bonus Media Remote
* Xbox Live Silver
* Xbox Live Gold 30-Day Trial

So uh, it'll cost you $400, not 600. And who needs a launch title, I plan on moveing my Halo 2 over and leaveing it there for the next few months.

And if your a cheap ass you can but the "core" console

# Xbox 360 Core System ($299.00)
* Xbox 360 Game Console
* Wired Controller
* Composite A/V Cable
* Xbox Live Silver
* Xbox Live Gold 30-Day Trial

Looks like some good titles. I'm thinking I may make a switch from my G-Cube to X-Box 360, but I would have to compare it to the PS3 and Nintendo Revolution. I would probably also wait until it's been out for a while for the price to go down.

I forgot to add another game to the list:
20.Quake 4

There also might be some more games that are being released with it that I dont know about

The only problem is you have to wait till sometime next year before you will be able to compare the three.

For right now, all I know is the 360 looks better than the ps3 and revolution. Plus the ps3 contollers have long handles, they dont look anything like the ps2 controller.

Also, it might be a year, maby less, before the price drops.

But...Masterchief, if you want to play with a friend, or own a game, cough up another $110 dollars. A GAME FOR NEXT GEN WILL MOST LIKELY COST AROUND $59.99 IF NOT MORE!...so that's about $170. That, and you're X-Box live subscription (which in, three months, will add up).

Another thing:

Quake 4
Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion
Condemned
GUN

And I'm sure a lot more, will all be available on PS3 and PC, making more than half of the launch titles non-exclusive. Also, more than half of the other games you mentioned will not be released during 2005, but 2006.

Also:

Need for Speed Most Wanted
Call of Duty 2
Tony Hawks American Wasteland
Madden NFL 2006 (which is out to buy NOW)
NBA 2K6
NHL 2K6 (they're REMAKING IT!)

ARE ALL PLAYSTATION 2, GAMECUBE, OR PC RELEASES! So...what is that? 5 launch titles? Some of which we all will be able to play BEFORE 360 comes out?

Hence why I didn't buy the first X-Box, and hence why I probably won't buy the 360.[;)]

You should know that most of those games probably wont be exactly the same. Ive never found the PC versions to be exactly like the console versions.

Yeah...I know.[:D] But it's either going to be a graphics upgrade or maybe a small add on or too. I remember when my friends were obsessed with Soul Calibur 2 just because it was different on each console. It ended up just being different special charectars.

There may be some other updats such as extra levels, more weapons, etc. but I'm too cheap to spend an extra $10 just for some extras that are probably going to be modded on the original.

Master Pi. I already know the prices of the games will be $59.00, Im prepared for that. Also, I will of course keep my copy of Halo 2 and maby a few other xbox games. The thing is, im not much of a computer gamer, only with the coaster games, I dont even spend much time on the computer, plus, I like the feel of a console better than a comp. Im prepared for the prices, by the end of next year I should have all the new consoles(360, PS3, and Nintendo Revolution), and handhelds(PSP and DS)I just like consoles and my favorite just happens the be the xbox. I like computers, buy not really for gaming. Very soon I will preorder a 360 and some games, im just a console junkie.
