An email I just recieved from Alton Towers:

The PlayStation????????? 2 Freedom Weekender 1st - 4th September. A party. And then some.
Throughout the summer thousands of people have been experiencing PlayStation????????? 2 Freedom for themselves on the UK?????????s canals, beaches, parks, streets and even its bus stops. True to form, we'll be seeing out the summer with a bang when the PlayStation????????? 2 Freedom season is brought to a climactic finish at Alton Towers, from 1st ????????? 4th September 2005.

ALTON TOWERS
Besides the biggest rides in Britain, including Rita - Queen of Speed, Air, Nemesis and Oblivion, Alton Towers will also be packed full of PlayStation????????? 2 fun, including the UK?????????s longest zip wire from the top of the awesome Towers ruins! There?????????ll be Break-dancing demos by some of the UK?????????s best B-Boys; a Free to Fight Area with padded sumo wrestling suits; Fight Station Gaming units; and a Free to Speed Area, with the incredible GT4 simulator, real WRC car, Moto GP bike and tuning garage. You can try your hand at SEGA?????????s Super Monkey Ball Deluxe in the specially constructed Monkey Cage on park ????????? but watch out for the cheeky monkeys on the loose! If that all sounds tiring ????????? don't worry ????????? you can travel in style on our Sedan chairs or luxury stretchers which will be ready to transport you across the park to the next thing you want to have a go at!

To pre-book your tickets NOW for the PlayStation????????? 2 Weekender at Alton Towers, visit www.playstationfreedom.co.uk

Alternatively call 0870 999 0099 or visit www.altontowers.com

Anyone else considering going to this? I think I might do, if I go on the 4th, that'll mean school will be starting for most people again so there shouldn't be that many people there and its only a few days after my birthday so I should have easily enough money to actually get into the park [lol] I don't know if I will go though, it doesn't sound like there's gonna be anything there really worth going for ....... might just go, for the sake of going [lol]

Queues will be horrific whatever so i dont plan on going. Alton Towers has big queues anyway, not to mention an event being promoted throughout the UK, the crowds would just be huge and i really dont want to be queueing for rides for 3 hours, espiecaly with the prices they are charging these days

It's also happening at Thorpe Park 1st - 4th September:

Friday 2nd September

Goldfrapp & The Bravery

Saturday 3rd September

Hard-Fi & The Coral

[Pre-order only, after closing Faithless Gig]

Sunday 4th September

Feeder, Razorlight & Ian Brown

Playstation vans giving out free stress-balls ([:D]) are already on park, often to be used in team games on the rides - (Vortex, Detonator, Nemesis Inferno etc) [replacing the 'water cup game' [B)]].

Dragon2000

EDIT: To add further artists.

I strongly dislike all of those bands, espiecaly The Bravery. Also i saw The Coral live and that was a bore. All the other bands i find boring aswell. So yeah, there is no way you'd get me to the event [lol]
