After looking at Aiolos (Round 3 entry), I have to say that I'm VERY VERY impressed. Smooth, intense, great layout...

but I also noticed that there seems to be a vertex about every 6 inches (that's an exaggeration, but they are really close together). I've noticed this on a few other rides as well. Is this hand-done, or is it the result of some tool? If so, what tool is it and where can I find it?

Tool or not, it's one AWESOME coaster.
My body isn't a temple. It's an amusement park.

Yes, they have used the AHG. You can get it here: http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/toolbox

It heartlines the track to your specifications, doesn't need much explanation really, just read the readme in the file and you'll be set.
You can also dig around the forums and find some people who have asked for help on this, I'd warn you not to ask before you try though. Experiment first, ask later. Cheers.

The AHG can be used on hand built tracks, tooled tracks, any track really. So, in my case, its really a hand built track with a coating of AHG over top :P
