Thanks fellas. Like I said that is a recording setup and as far as cymbals, well, those are only part of them - here is a complete rundown of the entire kit, and items in my inventory.

All drums (except the snare) are without bottom heads OR bottom lugs (this was custom made for me this way, not purchased off the rack like this.)

I played the violin from 6th grade to 8th grade, and piano from 9th to 12th. My primary musical interest is vocal, though. I have been in chorus since 6th grade, and still am.

Also, although not technically a real instrument, I am quite adept at playing the ocarina on Zelda (not just the stuff that is in the game... I have played stuff like the Lord of the Rings theme song, and composed alot of short tunes to go along with the scenes in my novel by using the ocarina.)

I used to play Keyboard for a while but got bored and quit. I dont have time to play much music, too much dancin [:D] And dont make fun of it otherwise i will rip your heads off [lol][lol]

Well, it seems like we have a lot of guitarists and drummers here...so here's something a bit different.

I've played piano for 10 years, and I have experience in just about every possible environment (Classic solo & ensemble, jazz big band & combo, musical pits, accompaniment for soloists and choirs, you get the idea...). I can, of course, also play keyboard/synth. I'm hoping to learn organ sometime in the next 5 years. My favorite thing to play: jazz combo! Someday, when we finally get the scheduling right, one of my groups will finally record a CD. Then you all can listen to me play.

In the other spectrum, I'm a "low brass specialist." I've played euphonium/baritone for 6 years and am a pretty well-accomplished soloist (as far as high school goes) in classic/concert music. I can also play some basic tuba and am learning trombone right now so I can play more jazz. I'm field captain of my marching band, and that means I have drum major duties but still march and play with the group. If anyone has a nice King Euphonium they want to sell, I'm the one to talk to!

And that's about it as far as music goes. BTW, awesome set TConwell!!!

Has anyone ever tried Garage Band? I use it to make songs.

I use Cakewalk Guitartracks for recording. I've never used Garageband (don't have a mac) but I've heard good things about it.

Garage Band is pretty cool. I don't know how I could do it but I may get one of my songs on.

What reason would a respected member of the site have to lie to us? I don't really think it means anything, but I believe Edge.

Actualy, in a previous thread similar to this i did upload 2 little licks i played along time ago, some fret tapping and e minor legato at quite high speed. My website got taken down and therefore lost the hosting for them

I've got three "songs" that my friend and I wrote for a demo that are on his website, but I can't find him and can't remember where they are on the site.

I play trombone for my school band, and that's pretty much all. I like the trombone cause I'm not too good at pressing little buttons and keys, so the slide comes natural for me.

i don't know how to post a picture here, but i record music here at home. for the first 10 years or so i did most of my recording on a four track,but now i'm running pro tools on a digi 001.I sing and play in a band called "sugarrush railroad inc." i play most instruments, except for drums, which aren't important to me as the rythm of the music i tend to record has more to do with the modulation of various effects pedals and the modulations caused when they are used in conjunction with each other, drums are an after thought if we use them at all. . in the last couple of years i've been getting into analog synthesizers... i own a 1972 mint condition arp oddyssey(perhaps one of the most desirable analog synths to have) and a 1981 KORG polysix i also have a really nice'67 farfisa compact deluxe that works perfectly(think.."96 TEARS") and an old hohner international electronic piano, i also have an old casio sk-5 that i hacked, you'd be amazedat the potentialthoselittle buggershave once you open them up and adding switches and things. ... . i have a mid 1950's silvertone acoustic/electric jumbo western guitar with vintage pickups that are mounted on a little rail above the sound hole. i have a 1978 takamine 12 string acoustic guitar that i bought in 1994 and the neck hasn't even slightly moved. i have a decent epiphone semihollowbody eb copy,and a little gretsch electromatic that has a wonderful sound as a result of the p-90 pickup,a really nice fender jazz bass(not too fond of the p bass personaly)um.. i have a 1965 vox berkley II apmplifier with a 1967 berkleyIII
2x10 cabinet. while those of you who wanna SHRED might laugh at it's 36 watts i can assure you that ,while it won't go as loud as a twin reverb or a marshall,side by side with either it can match and mostlikely beat the tonal quality of both, especialy the marshall, and it's solid state... they just don't make them like they used to .... if i wanted a LOUD amp i couldv'e had my choice for what i paid for the vox.... and the vox has tremelo to die for... when i do wanna be loud i have a modded 100 watt carvin(local company here)tube amp, but again the vox cannot be matched.. oh and i have a really nice ampeg svt70 bass rig,but it;s in l.a. i'm sure i missed a couple of things ,and iwont get into my pedals and effects.. just that i love my jim dunlop tremolo and the big muff,and LOTS of delay ..... i play all this stuff,but not all atthe same time.

i play drums and tenors (or quints, whatever you want to call them) in marching band. my high school is one of the best in the country so we get to go a lot of places. we went to the orange bowl 2 years ago, and the indy 500. this year we are playing at the kennedy center, and then next we are most likely going to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. sounds like fun.

It was kinda a waste of time in the end I guess but I ended up with a song anyway. I know it's not perfect but it was recorded in about 3 hours, so we didnt have time to fix problems then, and I never saw the point in fixing them later since we never even sent in the demo.

Also, I know the drums sound bad, it's a drum machine (and a bad one at that).

LOL, sounds OK, the guitar is repetative. The drums all sound the same but thats cus its a machine, and the singer sounds like hes trying to hard to sound like all the regular popular bands.

I find with Marshall amps there is always a limit to the maxiumum volume you can produce, usualy around level 6-7. After that the tone justs get distorted, which is a thing that really annoys me. Also if you are home recording your not going to want some 150 watt beast really are you? Thats the reason i also keep a standard 30 Watt Marshall aswell. My Marshall MG100HDFX is great for playing live gigs, but not so practical for playing quietly at home.
