Six Flags Over Georgia has unleashed a GIANT for 2006. Soaring over 200 ft. above the park and covering an area 8.5 acres in size, this much-anticipated B&M Hyper Coaster will appropriately be called: GOLIATH.

I, too, dream of Genie. I also think I should slap hyyyper for saying such foul words. More hills, piff, it has enough as it is, the air time will be in abundance, no doubt!

I hope it's got enough air ... B&M's aren't known for their intense air hills. But I am glad there are less helices and more hills, the twisty stuff never really got me. The air is what I love and I think it attracts more people then twisted rides do.

yeah, my only problem with it, is that major over shawdoing of Georgia scorcher, it kind of makes the Scorcher, look like crap, imo, but I'm sure people will go on it, but Goliath, totally did ruin its look

Looks like a nice ride, it looks like it will be very fun, it just isnt too original, but as long as its a good experience, thats all that matters.

Holy Hell, Ive really got to convince my dad to take me to SFOG for 2006, we go every year, because my grandpa lives in Macon Georgia, but this last year (2005) my family did not make it to SFOG. Anyways, i noticed that the ride goes outside the park, and cars that park in the big parking lot have to drive under the track. Just hope people dont throwup or get sick as you are driving to get a parking Spot. LOL

Something I jst noticed, the ride will run 2 trains, so that means if a train is down they can only run 1. Which will be very low capacity. I hope SFI keeps this ride up and running 2 trains all the time.

It's his company, I'm not sure if he does all of the rides, but he is well known for it.[approve]

You like the twistyness on a hyper? You must not have ridden Raging Bull. The only thing that makes that ride is the air hills and drops. This coaster looks great, though it does seem slow for a hyper and quite tame as B&M has been lately. I think this is a miniature Nitro. Neat for the park and who live close, but not for us who live 1000 miles away. I'd rather go to SFGAdv and do Nitro than here for Goliath. Just my opinion though.

I really wish B&M tryed to break there record for tallest coaster i mean it would have been "GOLAITH" If it was maybe 260-270. But dont get me wrong this coaster looks really awsome and fun. I personally like the second drop how it twists like that. Because apollos chariot does that and its really fun!

Look at B&Ms reliability compared to Intamin who pushes the limits, even on their hypers.

Hydraulic launches on the Intamins are finicky. I see the launched coasters closed a lot. I hardly ever see a B&M closed.

Exactly. Even look at Milli. Its not closed alot, but its closed more than a B&M would be. When I go to a park with a B&M that I want to ride, I know I'll get to ride it! When I go to a park with an Intamin, I assume I will ride it, but we do plan on staying one more day, just in case. Though I'd rather ride an Intamin, B&M's are top-notch.
