I need help with this. i just got adobe photoshop 5.0 and i want to make cartextures for my coasters. how do i do it?

i wasnt sure what catagory to put this in. sorry[:(]

But its probably pretty cheap by now. Im looking into ditching this version I got from school and buying a full version off eBay of like PS 6 or 7.

Then going to their site and upgrading to Photoshop CS for 100 bucks. Its a cheap way to get the full version.

^they now have a second version of CS out.

Even if you have an old version of photoshop, you will probably never need to upgrade it if you just use the basic tools. 75% of the stuff in Adobe you will probably never use or even experiment with. Alot of the new stuff that is being added is made specific for certain uses.
The basic tools are almost identical throughout all the versions.

As for making cartextures in Adobe, if you are making one on the older format textures, make sure you adjust the layer mask.

im getting photoshop 7.0 on sunday. this is just the one my parents had up in the old closet....wich they failed to mention to me about 5 years ago

how do i adjust the layer mask?

how do i get it to save as a .PNG or w/e i need. it only saves as .PSD

it doesnt have it. it only says .PSD and .PDD
o well, im getting photoshop 7.0 tomorow. maybe that will have it

i was very happy with CS, so i hope this is gonna be better {never read the change log so i don't know}

im having troubles with my cartextures in Adobe Photoshop 7.0. my textures dont work. and yeah they are in my cartextures folder.

What doesn't work from the textures?

- Doesn't it show on the train?
Look if the cartextures are chosen in the NL editor: Coaster-settings-train...

- Doesn't the alpha work?
Don't know how to fix this, no photoshop expert...

Anyway, explain the problem better before we actually can help you...
