both. I'd prefer 8 because its more common, and EGF is at what I would consider a "Small Park" so they don't have to meet the max capacity requirements that would make people happier. So if you do 7 trains, it would be cool if you could run 3 trains, but 2 trains is alright, but 8 trains would be prefered.

btw, coolbeans, wouldn't it be better if you put a deadline, contestateds list on the beginning of the topic, just the keep it a bt more offical, and i think it would be best if we upload the track with something like "IntaminMini - [trackname]"

a: There is already a deadline:
""3. Upload any time during the last week of September, your time. If its uploaded any time after, your entry will not count, and will just be another hyper that just happened to be uploaded around the same time.""

b: Nah, don't do names, usually 1/4th doesn't even enter if they join in a list...

c: That idea of the ride naming is nice. But of course, still the ride should be linked in here to make it count...

I didn't.

Also: Is it ok if we only have 2 trains and 7 cars? Thats what EGF has.

Thunder Dolphin, is apparantly a mediocre ride, and a dissapointment to Intamin's name.

It would be better, but you don't have to.
The deadline is between the 26 - 28 of September. THat way everyone's rides should get enough rates if its going to be a contender in this competition.

According to what has already been built by Intamin, everything over 200 ft tall has box supports (with the exception of Thunder Dolphin).

But thunder dolphin is built on buildings though. I wonder if they didn't choose box supports becuase they might be weak to earthquakes.

quad supports are a lot stronger than the tri supports, which is why its able to go unsopported much longer than the tri track and definately much longer than the 2 rail. If you look at Wicked Twister or Xcelerator, you can easily get what I'm talking about. As for the spine type on the lift, I don't think you can have a tri track spine and have a hydrolic lift, it just is to big for such, which would be why Expedition GeForce would use thier quad spine, and its possible they carried out the quad track through the drop just because it looks nicer than, say having it end right at the drop. Real's reasons are also good assumtions as well.

I'm gonna try and make this coaster my first coaste with elementary (since I can't build a smooth enough track by hand to be acceptable as a steel coaster). I'll probably not finish it by the deadline, because of school, but I'll try as hard as I can to get it done. I'll try not to rush it, but I'm not making any promises. It'll be called FireStorm and I already selected colors and I have to say they look very nice.

Please note this IS NOT the coaster I am making with elementary, I'm merely using this former version as a refrence for colors.
