If you could reverse the trains on any coaster in the world what would it be?

Mine would be space mountain mission 2 as when on-ride it would look great with the asteriods flying infront of you!

Also I found this odd pick of the old Space Mountain travelling backwards. Its a fake! (I think) [confused]

i can imagine the feeling already! [pshades]

But anyway, backwards rides make rides ever more worse then they might are...

Most of the rides Ive ridden where the trains are at least pointing backwards (not the same, but close) are SO much fun. Its great not knowing what to expect. Added element of suprise.

For me, it would have to be the Jack Rabbit at Kennywood. Feeling that double dip in reverse would be so much fun, with the insane airtime being experienced backwards. It would be sooo cool.

Why does everone say that rides become worse when they are reversed?

I mean look at Indiana Jones in Paris, when going backwards it made even the mini first drop seem big! Also now its going forwards again it is one of the most head banging rides yet!

well, i've experienced some rides forward and backwards:
forwards, you can see if a rough turn is coming so you already can prepare for that. The same ride i rode backwards really was annoying, in turns you banged and stuff just because you didn't knew what to expect. But of cource the problem could also have been that it was a really rough ride...

do we mean reverse like going from brakerun to lift,
or are we talking about the cars facing backwards and going lift ro brakerun?

^you're an idiot.

And Dirk, I think the reason you're saying backwards rides are bad, is exactly the reason why they're good, you really don't know whats coming, even if you know the layout like the back of your hand. It adds another level of disorientation to a ride and makes things seem deceptively bigger especially when you're going up. Imagine going up TTD backwards, looking down at the floor, how strange would that feel?

I agree with Edge, a backwards vertical drop like that, would be mindblowing I think, you just can't really imagine exactly what it'd feel like. Maybe on its 10th birthday they should put on of the trains backwards for a day [lol]

I think the whole idiot thing would be more fun, but the answer is riding the ride in a backwards train, not riding from the brake to the lift. How on earth would that work!?

if i'd have to put on a coaster the trains backwards i'd think that it would be way awesome if it was backwards on 'superman la attraction de acero @ warner bros movie world madrid'. It's a great smooth ride. And that little predrop would be totally awesome when going backwards down! Or why don't they just put the last 2-3 rows backwards [:D] Peeps can go forward if they want and backwards if they want that. Would be fun, now let's make it true [pshades]
