Well, the video itself was pretty shaky and being only 8-15fps was a bummer. You could have set the camera down on the bow of the restraint and pushed down on the top of the camera. That makes it less skaky and look smoother even than even the ride really is.

Its not your fault really, you can't help not having a nicer camera at your disposal but WWS is too lenient on what they take IMO. Its nice that they give stuff out like that but it makes them look cheaper.

cool, one of our former staff members had their camera fly off on apollo's chariot and never retrieved it, fell in the water, so excise caution when taking onrides. [:)]

And with the size of WWS's camera, I am surprised his has not ended up in the water underneath Silver Bullet's lift/helix! [lol]

Yea, remember that restraints can jiggle and move around as well. Sometimes the cushioned movements from your hands and arms are less shaky than that of a restraint on metal hinges that vibrates and shakes as well.

It's not because of the staff, cause i know one person who does allow it [;)] It's just because of the safetly reasons. For example, your in the front seat. Because of a shock or whatever, you drop the camera on the first drop. So that camera takes air and starts to "fly". And everyone behind you could hit the camera...

edit:

example with a mobile phone:

ps... this picture isn't photoshopped, it happened in real!

i dunno that, ask them. But i guess probably because the rides arn't really big thrills. Ok, the rides are defenalty fun. Also at toverland and efteling not really high speeds too. Oh well, it all depends on the park (and some staff members [;)])

IMO every himself-respect onride maker really cares about not getting other people hurt by losing their camera (perhaps losing the camera is the first to worry about), as for safety, i always have the cord round my wrist andd two hands on the camera, which resulted into both arm really bruised while onriding elcondor, but it was worth it...coasters are supposed to hurt!
