If your grades are that bad, you need to be grounded for a couple months lol. And you blame it on your parents being strict...I think you should take responsibility and realize it's your own damn fault you were grounded for that long lol.

What did you do to get those grades? The only reason I get bad grades is because I don't do my homework, but 2 Fs and a D?

I'm surprised CK didn't complain about this being an Intamin Accelerator.

ya. one day I forgot there was a test the next day and i didnt study. So there was a two piece test, one i got a 4/48 and a 5/40. Also she collected homework, which i didnt do, so 0/10. And DC i wasnt blaming my parents, I've been studying for 3 hours everyday and all my grades are a's and b's again. So its all good :)

I could not do 3 hours. I'm fine with my c in algebra, I got a's and b's in everything else, even civics.

Studying is the most overrated thing ever. Just pay attention, learn the material, and don't panic on the exams. In other words, you don't need to study if you do your homework, because homework is the only preparation you should need for the exams. Case in point: I took 20 CHs last term, studied for nothing, and came away with only one B+.

lol, I never studied for a single test when I took Algebra I Honors... My lowest test grade was a 95! Seriously, Algebra is one of the easiest subjects ever in my opinion.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

Haha, i stop paying attention around the 9th grade and made it through high school just fine. Never had a single report card with anything under 79.

Teamwork, kids, is the key.

Wow, one post and FOOSH! Off topic. Anyway, I agree with Kevin. I've only studied for one class in my entire school career, and it ended up being my worst grade that year. In fact, it's still tied for my worst grade ever. Ironic, sure, but completely true.

I took Algebra 1 last year (9th)...it took some getting used to, and I had to take summer school to make-up for a bad mishap during my second semester (failing final exam due to waiting until the last minute, and having taken 2 finals that same day :P Which earned me a D...ouch, I know)

But...funny enough, I ended up completely turning my grade around during SS, from a D into an A. I know the old D will still be at the very bottom of my application, but I hope that colleges will just see the SS A as my final math grade; that'll suck if they nit-pick that much, and throw that old D at me.

Either way, because I understand Math better this year, I have been able to finish off my 1st semester with an 88.34% B+ in my Geometry this year - mind you math is my worst subject. I've been getting better as the year has gone along, so yay! I also have A's in all my other courses :D

University of California - San Diego here I come! It is known as one of the best engineering universities in the US (Structural engineering is what I will be going for).
"Don't be a disability"... yep, still keeping that. :P

I don't know why people think math is so hard. I almost fell asleep in math once. My bad subject is Social Studies. I swear I'm going to fail that class.

I'm 17, but the story of Algebra for me is confusing so here it goes.

When I went to a private school for middle school, Algebra was offered for all 8th graders who were able to test into it. I made it in, and easily made it through that. However, during that year, I applied for the IB Program being that is at one our high schools. When I got into that, my middle school was required to send my credits to that high school, but somehow every kid that went to that middle school and was going to be attending the high school with the IB Program was screwed over. So instead of me taking Geometry Honors in freshmen year, I had to retake Algebra I Honors again, and in my sophomore year, I had to take Algebra II Honors and Geometry Honors at the same time. So, in short I took Algebra twice; started taking it when I was 13 to 15 years old.
Oh, were you expecting something here?

Algebra 1 was hard for me. But I got through it for having taken it in 8th grade. Imo, school is about 50%+ common sense these days. Yes you may need to know that pi is 3.14 but to find the most reasonable answer out of 3 ridiculous ones is the real challenge.

The way my school's math went was as you were going into 7th grade, if you did well in 6th grade, you went to pre-algebra instead of standard 7th grade math. Which I did. Then Algebra in 8th grade. For high school there's the standard class, a "modern" class, and a honors class. So in 9th grade Geometry, I got into the modern class. Its the same material covered as the honors, just at a slower pace. I think its bull and they just don't have enough teachers to teach all the kids that have the capability to be in the honors class. Haha. And this year is algebra 2 which is ridiculously easy compared to algebra 1.

P.S. I'm 15.
P.P.S I thought the topic title for this was Project "Im Black" Rofl.
P.P.P.S. Tidus, you may be seeing me and Landon there.
