Hey coastercrazy! I'm back in the hard hat area with my new project, octoblast. Inspired from a hot wheels set I used to own back in the day.

When Designing the first element I knew I really wanted something "wacky". So I came up with this element that I still don't know what to call. (Picture below) And I wanted to do that awesome airtime hill on G-force. But now I have a problem. I have know idea what to do after the hill, that would be as wacky and exciting as the first element. Any Ideas?

I'd call the first element a skewed cobra roll. As to the rest of the layout I think that an immelman or a dive loop into a half a roll into a straight bit over the station then a roll out.

I like the idea bottom feeder. But I don't quite get what you mean by the half roll.

Literally a 180* roll, doesn't have to be straight, it could be almost a half corkscrew, into a straight section to produce some hangtime and then another roll out.

Alright. I've got a dive loop and a half roll type thing. I was think after that to have a samll overbank found on formule X and the a corkscrew and half helix to finish it off. What do you think?

I don't know how I feel about the "Half Roll" being so long. I think you should shorten that. Think a little more compact.

What you should do, is move the huge airtime to a big pop later in the ride, or maybe even a few big pops, and change the hill to a 0G-Roll

Well the layout is done and I'm proud of it, quick and to the point. Probably not what I really wanted out of it but it was mostly just a christmas break project. (Why I did it so fast). All that's left is a bit of terraforming, trees, and supports.

Also, I made the hangtime element shorter by about a third. Might not be able to tell with the angle, sorry about that. Anyway, onto the pictures!

Looks good, you've kept the layout compact which I personally always think is important for a X-Car layout :)

I see you're getting the hang of FVD+

Good for you *bangs rocks together in Newton*

But seriously, that's looking pretty sweet.

Okay I have a little more time to tell you more information, instead of just posting a picture of a graph. Basically, I lost interest in NoLimits mainly because I was sick of hand building. Then Ajax, my cousin, Email-ed me about a new program called FVD++ that worked on mac's, which I was very interested in. So I've come back to recreate this ride in FVD++.

Since this is obviously my first time with any sort of program that creates track, besides the editor, I will need some help. As you can see in the picture below I have made everything up to the half-roll. I've had fairly good success using this program, though I did encounter some minor issues with the crazy/unique element, which I have called an Oc-tophat, where I have bumps. They are almost identical to hand-building pumps so I am kind of upset about that. But I will not give up, this project will be completed, all I ask is your help along the way. I am willing to email my ride to those willing to test, along with the .fvd file so they can further help me. I would prefer those who consider themselves very familiar with the program, but anyone can help.

I think instead of just a dive loop, you should make it a rolling snake dive.... instead of just a straight section going up to the inversion, put a zero-g roll there

i don't think it wants to be that. I feel like the dive loop is more appropriate.
What are these for?
