This is probably some seamless bullshit question, but i need a clarification.

Drop on orion is 300 ft, but the height of it is 287?? Shouldn't that make it a hyper?

Im pretty sure i thought that the height determines the stat of a coaster, like 200-299 is a hyper, 300-399 is a giga ect ect, thought it was not based off the drop.

i mean giga or not giga im still disappointed in this ride lmao

Technically B&M label Leviathan and Fury 325 as hypers so I would say it's based on opinion.

It's not opinion. Apollo's Chariot is a hyper due to its drop and layout, Orion is a giga due to its drop and layout.

Its only "disappointing" because of its location. If Cedar Fair gave one of the smaller parks the go ahead to build this, it would be the greatest thing ever. Its certainly not the best layout, but I would be thrilled if Dorney gotten something like this. That being said, we should consider it a giga because Phantom
s Revenger is considered a hyper. Also these terms are our own jargon and not shared by the parks or designers so who cares really
What are these for?
