I just bought a new guitar so it's not so great for me.

Still, down on fanatical Christians and up with the ones who care about being friendly and nice people.

^lol...There are many different Christians. I'm Methodist, and well, we're kind-of the "laid back" bunch. There are the others that are more into the "Authoritative God" (Baptists), but it all depends on how they interpret The Bible.

Basically, I'm not gonna shove my beliefs down everyone's throats. You don't see me saying "I like Ferrari" and Oscar likes Lamborghini, and then I force him to like Ferrari more or else. That's just not how I roll.

What kills me about this is that they claim that Jesus promised that He would not come like a thief in the night, when Jesus in fact clearly said the exact opposite:

"Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." [Matthew 24:42-44]

Yeah and they were able to (vaguely) write down what he said word for word 60 years later.

Whew I'm glad that's cleared up and totally makes sense!

EDIT: Surprised the baptist idiots I live with haven't mentioned this yet. Then again the crazy one is probably too busy yelling at his fianc?????????e after attending church and visiting hate group websites.

You're 13, your knowledge is nowhere near enough to make that decision for yourself. Most likely you claim to be a christian because your parents have forced you to be one.

My parents didn't force me to be a Christian. Ok, my parents grew me up like that, but they didn't, and would never do, force me to be a Christian.

I mostly agree, but partly disagree. I mainly agree, because I have a pretty deep interest in science. I was raised into a very religious (Catholic) family (apart from my dad). Overtime as I've studied more science I've grown to realize how, well, "senseless" most of religion is, and how much of it is literally obliterated by science in so many ways. I would be forced to go to church. In a way, though I hate to say it, I do believe religion is a form of brainwashing. I do not by any means believe in most of what the bible says. Of course if you are raised into something from birth the large quantity of people will believe that is right, just as we learn anything else as we grow. I personally have worked myself out of that bubble and formed my own opinion; that little in the bible makes the slightest bit of sense. I guess that is why they call it a "faith". But, however, I do believe that religion is necessary. I firmly think that if there was no belief in a "higher power" than ourselves, that the numbers of crime, rape, etc. would increase drastically. (Though often it causes more deaths and wars too, so I guess it is kind of an iffy statement.)
I am not for swaying anyone's beliefs, or telling them who is right and who is wrong, for that reason primarily, and because it is annoying. And also because I know how they feel...because for a long time I felt the same way, but I have just come to my senses I guess. I don't even consider myself atheist, as that is largely considered a religion all its own. I simply don't like to associate myself with religion at all, or at least whenever I can avoid it.

Catholics figure out "the stupid" quicker than others do. I used to be catholic also. Aside from the priests raping kids thing they really need to get rid of the whole "every mass is a miracle" idea since any idiot can tell you the wine sure as hell ain't blood and no miracle has occured.

It would be great if we could brainwash you into finishing your ratings faster. Then again if a group of people can be totally okay with someone preaching WHO USED TO EAT CHILDREN AND KILLED TWENTY THOUSAND PEOPLE and brush it off because he "found jesus" then why not?

If someone were to ask me my religion, I say that I am "without religion", as oppose to saying atheist. When you say atheist, much like with any religion, people already have a predetermined opinion about you.

I think that you saying crime would go up if there was no religion is utterly wrong, however, given that out of all of the people in the prison system; the percentage of people who are religious vs irreligious, is higher than the percentage in the outside world. i.e. based on statistics of current global prison inmates, you are more likely to go to prison if you are religious, than if you are not. Your point here seems to be suggesting that if you're not religious, instantly you must not have any kind of sense of morality and would therefore commit crime. As if religion teaches good, and only good morals.
