I was wondering:
Why can't you a coaster for it's looks?
Some will say now: you can, it's the same as originality, but I think it's not. Let me explain:

For example: Someone makes a coaster. It's just a simple 8-shaped track with no inversions. The tech is OK, the adrenaline of course isn't, cause there's no high speed wse and the originality is rubbish, cause it's been done lots of times. Still, the guy/girl used loads of 3DS objects to make it a really great view. As it's now, he/she would be rated like:

Tech: 8
Adre: 2
Orig: 2
8 + 2 + 2 = 12
12/3 = 4, so it would be a rubbish coaster.
But if you could rate on looks too, it would be higher cause of the 3DS...
Then you would have something like

Tech: 8
Adre: 2
Orig: 2
Look: 10
8 + 2 + 2 + 10 = 22
22/4 = 5.5
That remarcably better! And he/she deserves that, cause he/she made a coaster with fabulous view and he/she took a lot of time building those 3DS.

I aggree i think we should do that.
Trim breaks are your enemy, retracking/smoothing is your friend. I miss b&m floored sit downs. coaster count=39

I don't really agree, since most of the users cant make 3ds. And if you didn't make 3ds, it would be like that:
normal:
T: 8
A: 8
O: 8
Average: 8

Your theory:
T: 8
A: 8
O: 8
L: 2
Average: 6.5

See what I mean.

Omigod, Omigod you guys...

Here's a healthy solution. If a track doesn't have 3Ds, don't take away for lack of objects. If it does have 3Ds, grade them...
1-Millennium Force | 2-Intimidator 305 | 3-Fury 325
4-Skyrush | 5-Iron Rattler | 6-X2 | 7-Kingda Ka
8-Voyage | 9-Maverick | 10-Monster

Maybe make it so that the points added are extra, not part of the averaging itself. That way, it could only help the rating.

Indi, stick around the site a little longer and see that it's running perfectly without an extra rating field...wait more than a month.

The current rating system works just fine. Usually people put 3d's under originality anyway, and supports go in either there or technical.

Precisely. Thank you for laying out so plainly for the n00bs. [lol]
Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing at all.
