I really want one of these and was wondering if anyone here might have some info about hydro foam boats, how much they cost and if you can control them with a 6 channel controller.

i got one, i brought one after seeing one on youtube.

unfortunetly its not a 5 channel controler its only 4 channel but it all comes ready to run. there very strong and run on grass aswall as water and in the air. plus you can get better batterys like lipo polimer batterys and bushless motors so there faster too.

its alot of fun over the park near me playing with it on a lake and then seing peoples faces when it suddenly leaps ito the air to do some loops and hovers.

the only problem ive founf is the throttle on it can be hard to controle as the esc controler isnt very eficiant so i would change that if you get one.

you want to really surprise people get one of these

^haha lol the stuff people can come up with. [lol]

So it's a 4 channel. How does it control while on land or water? does flip easily while turning or do you really have to try?

thats where the control problem really is, its made to fly and flys really well meaning it dont really flip on the water cus its not acctually running on the water rather just skiming over the surface. but if it hits a wave then yeah it will flip. the 4 channes are throttle, pitch, roll and elevation. pretty simple compared to alot of planes. where did you think the other 2 channes would come in? most small planes are 4 chennel, its only when you start to get serious you need 6.

I was just thinking that it might require a boat rudder seeing that these things takes a turn quite rapidly while in water. But 4 is fine by me, I usually get confused with more controls like the helicopters and stuff.

I would probably need some practice with these, I flew a fun flyer once and found it much harder than a normal plane and these boats looks even more sensitive than that.

So I'm going to make a stop by the hobby shop tomorrow to order one [:D].

Woah! Did you see that!? [lol]

Yeah those definitely look pretty cool. Two of my best friends and I that share the same cul de sac buy new RC Cars every year, trick 'em out, and have Annual Culderby Crash Course Demolitions. Very fun.

I've thought about getting on of them flyboats, but I always thought people on ads and commercials were gurus at controlling them and once you got it it was impossible to get it to fly properly.
