RCT1, no expansion packs:

I'm playing Dynamite Dunes, and while I don't really care for the desert motif, this is my second and most successful park. I have over $80,000 and have bought all the available land, and have no debt. But now, no more land is for sale, and no land ever had any construction rights available, so I cannot expand anymore. This is really disappointing, because I'm really enjoying working on this park since I have plenty of money and can do whatever I want (unlike real life).

So is there any particular trick or accomplishment I need to achieve to make more land available to buy? I haven't even filled half the full map in the desert yet, and I think it's odd that all this land is available, but nobody wants to sell it, nor the construction rights. I'd like to add some custom coasters instead of all these prebuilt ones I put in.

Thanks,
Phanes

So far to my knowledge it's not possible to get more land then you've currently got. You could take down some of the build rides and create a new ride on that spot. [:)]
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)

Don't forget the Drexler patch, otherwise it might crash.

Have you put a coaster underground/inside the giant hill?

One of the trainers will do the job, though you could always start another park elsewhere. Also, avoid prefabbed coasters in the future that don't fit the park layout well, though some of them work until space starts getting used up.

If you play out the first few months well, you can make $80k by the end of the first or second year, depending on the scenario's situation and how easy it is to build on.

80k in one year? Wow!

Well, I just played the Diamond Heights scenario, thinking if I complete all these scenarios I can unlock some unlimited megapark with all the rides and all the space available. The objective was to reach a park value of $20,000 by the end of October, year three. Well, I failed in that objective. But literally about two minutes after I received the failure notice, the park value jumped to over $23,000.

Seeing I was failing, I built a prefab wooden rollercoaster over a small peninsula. I guess the value of it didn't register until the month flipped over. :(

Well, one nice thing is, I learned a lot about what I can do to get entry and exit paths to work... using tunnels, raising and lowering land to just make it work somehow. When I saw the prebuilt wooden coaster in Dynamite Dunes, I wondered how the hell they'd done that.

Anyway, a coaster I built in the desert was too nauseating for anybody to want to get on it, while all I was trying to do was take up the available space, even if it did have a weird shape. Building coasters in this game isn't my forte. I feel more confident in NoLimits, even though I'm no master there.

In Dynamite Dunes, I built a superlong Go-Kart track, thinking the length of it would make it popular. It was the type of track I would certainly enjoy driving on, but its popularity was 10-20%. :(

I guess I'll have another go at Diamond Heights and this time not have my confidence shaken by all the hills and trees I thought I'd never be able to afford to flatten.
