RCT3 has been taking about 5 mins just to load to intro things, then 5+more to get to main menu. Then, when I load a park, it can take up to 30 mins. This hapening to others too, and if not could anyone please give me any help/advice they have, thanks.

maybe put some settings lower or get some better pc specs.
I had 5 min loading on my old pc, and that was with rct2....
I think your pc has to be upgraded....

Yea, it does, but it still gets 40+ consistently with NL except for woodies and highly themed, and it never took too long too load anything with RCT2 or any other game like that, so I'm kinda wondering whether this makes since or whatnot.

Mine only takes 2 minutes to go thru the intro stuff...(Hit spacebar to skip past the intro stuff). Parks at longest took about a minute to load up for me.

Yeah it makes sense that rct2 didn't take as long to load as rct3 does. Every object in the park (i.e. paths, benches, coasters, trees, flowers, terrain, peeps, lights etc.) needs to be rendered in full 3D. rct2 just needed to load in some sprites. rct3 is much more graphic intensive. No Limits run using OpenGL and rct3 uses Direct 3D or DirectX, so that's the difference there. I also can run NL with better frame rates than rct3. Go figure.

Huh??? RCT3 using DX9 instead of OpenGL has nothing to do with its performance problems. Having to deal with things like a much more complicated terrain system, more active lights, tons more scenery, working flat rides, paths, and all those peeps is why RCT3 is slower. Considering everything it is trying to do at once, its rendering engine is actually very fast.

I think they should lower the terrain detail, or at least, if the land is flat, don't seperate it into it's separate polygons. If the land editor is opened, I guess they can do that.
