I just bought a laptop and have HR on my computer. I enjoy playing the game, but am going to buy either NL, or RCT 3. Which one would you suggest buying? I have downloaded both games, and am enjoying both. I am having trouble, however, building in the NL editor. Is there an easy way to build tracks, or does it just take some getting used to? If I could easily build in NL, I most probably would end getting that instead.

Thanks for the feedback!

hmmm well if your used to hyper rails you'll get used to no limits pretty quickly thats how i was. made some good hyperrails tracks (but they never got posted[V]) and i was used to no limits as soon as i got it with track shaping and everything (be sides supports lol) so no limits but i own rct3 to but thats not as complex and is very limiting

If you don't like hand building in NL, there are tools that can do a lot of the work for you. (Elementary, Purgatorium, AHG, etc)

HAnd building is fun. And me n Dirk will feel your pain with handbuilding NL rides by touchpad. Nl runs great on my laptop, and it only has a slightly updated graphic card. Rct3 on the other hand is pretty slow, so i deleted it. NL is much more fun for me, but way harder. I was a huge rct3 fan, but as you can see by my forums and tracks nl was got me hooked. If you want the more in depth program, Nl is deff the way for go. If you want more than coasters, then i guess rct3 is what you want.

Yeah, I run NL on my laptop and it runs fine, the touch pad building takes some getting used to but you can always plug a mouse into your laptop. In my opinion I would rather have NL.

well it depends on what you want to make. No Limits has the best coaster simulation avaliable and its editor, even though it may take some getting used to, is the best avaliable. Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 is all about making a coaster that may not have the most building options avliable and melding it into something astonishing with terrain, scenery and theming. It just depends on what you want, a coaster simulator with an amazing yet hard to master editor or a park and coasterbuilder with simple and easy to use editor.

NL takes some time to get used to the editor. However, for its price I don't think it can be beat. Even if you don't build your own tracks, I think it is more than worth it to get it to just ride other peoples tracks.

Thanks for the suggestions, I am still trying to get used to the No Limits Demo, but in the demo you can't ride your coasters, so it's hard to see how your coaster looks in the simulator. I think I will play around with the demos more to decide.

I think NL is the way to go. RCT3 is ok but it loses its appeal after a while.
