Just an awesome day, and awesome concert experience, though it was hot as hell, lets get into the meat of it:

Arrived at about 1:30 with a buddy, waited in a long-ass line that only got WAYY longer behind us. The gates opened at 2, we got in to the grounds. First thing we did was get water lol. Then we headed to the "side" stage, there were all of these booths and stuff. We both bought a Three Days Grace album, which would enable us to meet them and get the albums signed.

Then we saw the shows of Hell and High Water, Art of Dying, and Black Tide (which were like full-blown concerts btw). There was a huge mosh pit, and Black Tide encouraged a HUGE one lol. My friend jumped in there, got a little banged up but not much, stood on his feet too lol!

Anyways, after we went into the rockstar tent, got some free rockstar beverages, didn't taste that bad actually. Got to meet up with Black Tide after the show under there, they signed a poster and an album I bought that day. Also got an Art of Dying album signed (that we bought there btw), and talked with the members, really cool guys. Then my friend and I headed into the line to meet up with Three Days Grace. The line was huge to get to their signing booth, but we eventually got in, Three Days Grace was awesome, they were all really cool and chill. Briefly talked to them, and they signed our stuff, then we left and got something to eat. We got some big drinks, and headed to our seats in the main amphitheater. We got alright seats, not that close, but still under the amphitheater, though kinda far away, we still got every bit of the experience though.

First was Escape the Fate...yep. This was about 5 o' clock.

Next was Bullet For My Valentine who didn't get an insanely warm welcome, a lot of people were sitting, but they still played their set lol.

Then up came Seether at about 7:30-ish...awesome, awesome show. They played all of their awesome stuff, and put on a really great show. Tying with Three days for 1st place for the night.

Then came Three Days Grace at about 8:20-30, they got the whole place on their feet and in unison, put on an AMAZING show, played all of their hits, etc. Actually, for me, they're first place for the night.

Then came Avenged Sevenfold at about 9:45. They were good, played some stuff they haven't played in a bit. But...Syn and Zacky were kinda like woodish in their demeanor compared to M. Shadows. Their show, being the headliner, had tons of pyro and explosions, and their awesome skull backdrop. Oh, and Chris Jericho decided to pop by and sing Bat Country with the band lol. Despite that...they didn't really do it for me, I was excited and was going nuts as it was a fun atmosphere, but, meh, Three Days Grace did a much better job.

The concert ended at 11 pm btw. So we were there for almost 10 hours straight! Then we headed back, and got back to my house, and I'm just chilling, oh and I'm typing this up now. [:D]

--------------

My placement for the bands for today:

1st: 3 Days Grace
2nd: Seether
3rd: Black Tide
4th: Avenged Sevenfold
5th: Art of Dying

--------------

So, got to meet some awesome bands, see some amazing performances, get some signed memorabilia, but got ripped off on beverage and food prices - I came with $100...ended the day with $9. XD

It was quite the concert experience though.

--------------

8.5/10 from me, I'd suggest finding out if one of these shows is coming to your area because it is TOTALLY worth heading to! The tickets are decently priced, around $60 (but look at what's in the concert). You can also buy full-length albums for like $10-$15, so that's a pretty good deal. Come out and have fun! [8D]

Lineup sounds like an emo-fest to me :/

Might do a Leeds Fest review if I can be bothered.

Call it what you will (and I can assure that I saw maybe like two noticeable "emos" in the crowd, other than that, a ton of metalheads), even some guys from the military were in front of us. It was an awesome day.

What kills me about reading this is that it seems like about 95% of the people I know are all rock fans, and this event was jam-packed, and yet the pop charts continue to be dominated by crappy auto-tuned party music without a single rock song in sight. What the heck is going on here?

Yeah, it's really lame that this is the state of music today. Luckily we still have epic shows like this going on. Saw some new talent, some experienced talent, it was an AMAZING show. This lineup is beast, if not just for Black Tide, Art of Dying, Seether, Three Days Grace, and A7x. Just look at that lineup! XD
