I'll be using Ghostrider as the basis of my banking style and overall feel. There will be a lot of those drops through the supports, blunt airtime hills, and tons of headchoppers combined with the wicked speed of a wooden masterpiece. It will only be about 150 ft tall at the highest.

btw the CCI style is just the story line. You dont literaly have to build a CCI style coaster, as it would be under the rules section. [;)] Just like the last contest was suposed to be built for SFMM how many people built rides that would actualy fit into the park?

Also i may add, i submitted my first track (draft) already, although im updating it again. I feel the deadline should be shortend. I doesnt take long for woodies espeicaly considering thew autosupports

Edge, the design of the track might not take long, true (allthough I'm not quite done yet). But the supports take a looooooong time.

Ok, if you just use the autosupports it's damn easy, but then you could submmit the track without supports really. Supports need to be cleaned out and tweaked on a good woody. ;)

Actually, they went bankrupt after making about 1/4 of the NMR. The rest of the coaster was made by the park.

so Im confused, how are we suppose to build it??? I don't know poop when it comes to woodies, all I know is that there fun. So We just build our track in the design tamplate???

As stated a few times in the first post this is about realism. Secondly, how are you planning to make an "elevator lift" as you call it in NL? Also a cable lift is only used for really tall hills to make the train climb faster. So it would be weird on a woodie, but if you can name an example of a CCI track with a cable lift, you won't get penalized [:p]

Also to answer some other's question:
Keep in mind a story is nothing more than just a story. The story does not mean you have to build in the classic CCI style. However, like cjd already said try to integrate classic woodie touches in your ride, like lot's of headchoppers, slow turns with low bankings. Lot's of drops, big and small and of course: airtime.

GFA, many of the greatest classic woodies didn't have slow turns, and CCIs definitely have very fast turns [;)]

About LoCoSuMo, yeah it does have an elevator lift. The ride also is very intense and has tons of lats [8D]

ermm i think the term elevator lift is literaly an elevator. I guess you were reffering to cable lift?

Cool, never knew they used that [:p]. However this case is quite different from what we are building. This ride is just 35 ft. tall and the trains only have 2 cars.

Now show me a ride with at least 24 rows of seats and over 25m tall with an elevator lift [;)]

That turn also is very slow since it goes right to the MCBR [;)]...but yeah, the best turnarounds of any coaster at all are those Schmeck twister turns [pshades] those things just SLAMMED you into the side of the car with so many lateral gs people's ribs broke...The fanturn on the Idora Wildcat was probably the best turn (or close to it) that ever existed on any coaster. They're also banked minimal, which shows twisters don't have to be banked high [:)]

i havent figured out how to do quotes yet, but to whoever said cci went bankrupt: the head of cci (denise dinn) closed the company because she was struggling with marraige problems, not bankruptcy. i dont remember where i heard that.. probably off of rcdb.com or screamscape.com i dunno, its old news they're gone [:(]

...when do we have to have our designs submitted by?

28th March you should probaly read the rules...
also i doubt a whole company would shut down due to marriage problems. They would get someone else in to take the job, otherwise thats plain stupid

welp, that's what i heard. mabey the marraige was effecting the productivity? either way, it wasnt a very big company like intamin or b&m. so, marraige probs could have contributed a lot to the closing of it.
