It would be cool if there was one put in there though

I'm assuming that you mean the S&S 2001 launched coasters? There is probably good reason why one hasn't been built since 2001 and why we will probably never see one built again...
Especially now that S&S has the powder keg 'style' launched ride.

I think the ride you are talking about was going to be built but then there was some reason and Fantasy Island aborted it for good. I would leave a link to the site I found it on but I can't remember where I saw it?

Must have been a rumour, but the residents wont be happy with a huge coaster at the park anyway as before jubille odyssey, plans were scrapped for a 260 foot hypercoaster.

^^^ Now this is weird. I was having this conversation with you English coaster guy about 2 days ago, and i mentioned the chance of this Thrust air 2000 being built.

There is no hard evidence of what the new ride will be, but from what i have heard from a guy who gets alot of info about the park, FI are planning a new coaster/large thrill ride to be opened in the middle of 2006. Which means we should see construction start about christmas??? Obviously, the first thing we can expect it to be is a coaster by Vekoma, as FI seem to like Vekoma for some unknown reason. But i must say after riding Millennium, it made me think Vekoma was quite alot better. Now i havent ridden Oddysey yet (which is bad since FI is my local park) but i heard its very rough, so this could have put FI off of buying another Vekoma coaster.

Now there were rumours about an S&S ride, and since FI like EXTREME thrills (check out some of their flats, and check out how fast they are running their Mondial Topscan called the beast) people thought this would be the best company to go to. Then their was some rumour about another launched coaster at FI, put the two together, extreme and launch, and alot of people had the idea of the Thrust air 2000. But i think most people, including me, were just hoping for a launch like that. LOL.

I think we can expect something BIG, but compact at the same time. As Fantasy Island do not have alot of room anymore, unless they expand across the road or into the caravan park.

I wonder what company FI might approach next. We know they have ALOT of money to spend (they paid over ?????????20million for Odyssey) and its been along time since they built a HUGE coaster. I would love to see either an Intamin hyper, a B&M floorless, or an S&S/Arrow 4d. Now that would be awesomeand it would suit FI so much, a 4d. But i doubt it would happen. But i can dream, a 4d, less than an hour away from my house. Wahoo.

Why would residents start to complain now btw?? That doesnt make any sense. Fantasy island is so noisy and has a 170 foot coaster anyway, with nothing hiding it. Whats the point in complainging now, you've still got that 170 foot one on your door step. AND the rest of skeggy. [lol][lol]

hmmm, looking at the coasters in the park, i don't think something big is coming, cos you need to build up your coaster index, the rides FI's have are some small steelies and a 2 quite large vekoma customs. I think the should at least have a woodie or a normal size coaster from, i hope, somthing different than vekoma, before the can go to the next level in coasters, such as getting a intamin mega, or a b&m twister...

Do you think that any wooden coaster companies in America or maybe Intamin would do a woodie for them?

NAH, i dont think so, not in that area. If you built a woody in FI, it would be burnt down within the first year. [lol][lol][lol]

Its not a very nice place really, its rough (its in skeggy for gods sake), but has some really thrilling rides, well it did when i last went. I think FI are more the type to spend a huge amount of money and build another big steelie, rather than going for a woody. But i may be wrong.

100m x 50m = 5000 m2
300ft x 150ft = 45000 ft2

I think your backyard is larger than 45,000 sq ft. 1 meter is more than 3 ft.

Yes, a new contest.

You have been chosen to design a coaster that will fit in hyyyper's backyard. You have 54,000 ft2 or 5000m2 of space. All coaster styles can be used. The winner of this contest will have to finance the cost of building their coaster in hyyyper's backyard.
