Sad News

Just got some sad news here -- my mother in law passed away this morning and so we are headed to San Antonio to be with the family. If I go silent for a while, this is why. If you are inclined to pray, please remember my wife's family at this time, thanks.

Praying is regardless of religion. You can find the heart and consideration of prayer whether you are Christian or not.

TCon, I'm terribly sorry for you and your family's loss. I wish you the best of happiness getting through this situation.

I actually went to Dollywood after my grandfathers funeral. I think my family thought I was morbid but it helped alot. He was a man of the country and in a way I really enjoyed looking out over the mountains and knowing how much he loved the entire eastern Tennessee area.

That and it did help me keep a more steady head. Finding out at work was maybe the worst moment/place Ive ever gotten news - especially news like that.


Just remember to be the shoulder your wife needs. Not that you need the reminder, but, there ya go.

Do have fun at FT though, it's a pretty "happy" place and I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Thank you for the comments my friends. Just a quick update -- the visitation is on Sat and the funeral is Sunday at 2. I am officiating, and it will be tougher than I thought ... ugh. Anyway, yeah, things are progressing here. Arrangements are just hard to do .... TJ

Well, we are back. Definitely the hardest funeral I have ever had to preach ... ugh ... but it is good to be home again.
