Kev ... you [r]. [lol][lol] Actually, I think you had voiced it once before, but it was just not repeated often as some do. ;-)

JP and others ... again, I consider you guys my friends and you would always be welcome at my house, at my church, etc. But, I do not agree with your lifestyle. However, with that said, I would never turn my back on you or anyone else in the same position - as some as VERY MUCH in the habit of doing. To do that, WOULD BE to prove myself to be a hypocrite, and that just ain't gonna work for me.

Now, allow me to be very honest and transparent with you guys in how I feel about this next issue.

Based on my Ordination to the Ministry and my own belief system ... would I perform a civil union? No. However, would I attend one? If they were good enough friends of mine, most likely ... even though it still weirds me out to see two guys kiss. [lol]

I would do this because I agree that Jesus would not turn his back on anyone. He would still love them, but would just not approve of the sin. The very same thing applies to how I view it -- I would support my friends, but not support the sin, as I view it according to my beliefs.

Hopefully, that is said right and taken in a mature manner.

I agree. We've made many productive statements and a few of my views and opinions have even been re-sighted [:)]

yeah true TCon, it has been constructive.

There's only one thing i still have to ...sort out with myself though. I still say i want to be married and have kids, then i think, wait a second, i can't have kids "with my kinda lifestyle". Then im thinking, its only what iv grown up with, what society has taught me.. it took me a long time to admit to myself that im gay, but i don't think ill ever get it into my head i won't have kids "the normal way".

Me and my best friend Kella say that if we're not married and have kids by the time we're 30, then we'll have kids togeather. I donno how fair that is on the kids though....

Well I've been talking with one of my closest friends, which I've just spilled the beans that I'm gay. In turn I got his confession. We were discussing about "marriage", when I told him that I would probably not end up getting married while just staying close with someone. He, on the other hand said he would strive to marry another man in this country and have kids...in our society you'd be damn lucky if your kids grew up without having messed up lives as a result of being teased and made fun of for being children of gay men. Just what I think, which is why I won't adopt any kids with my future partner.

I don't leave a lot of my views on weeweeslap even though I visit it everyday, but I am gay, 16 years old and I'm pretty sure its something I was born with, I really don't wanna put any ones views on it down, obviously I'm for it, and I do believe it's not a choice.

Another side note I've notice a lot of gays in ACE...

err tconwell: "Hence where the word, sodomy, comes from. Different word -- same meaning." the word sodomy comes from the story of sodom and gomorrah, which doesn't mean homosexuality, it's referring to raping the travelers who came to the city. the last time i read the story, there wasn't much gay about it. the term "sodomy" as i have always known it really means (no be blunt) "butt rape".

and for the record, i'm gay too.[:)]

Errr, clever editing -- but you missed the sentence before -- which is where I talked about the sodomites. This word, is not specific to only Sodom and Gomarrah, but yes, that was mentioned in that story as well. [blah]

Heh ... spoken like a well matured 14 year old (not). I think people are having a very decent discussion here, nothing has been blown anywhere mate. It is a discussion, it ebbs and flows and different views are expressed ... deal with it.

No, I don't need too ... especially when folks like you say it for me. Touche! [approve]

Ummmm, that would be Catholics, don't group me with them. No one kneels down and prays before any human being in my church, ever.

Actually, I could not imagine not sleeping with my wife, so to me, that question is illogical -- it just does not compute. [blah]

As a Methodist Christian, I've been taught to stay close and respectful with Catholics as the two religions seemed to have been associated quite some bit in the early beginning. However, B and M, when a topic about Gay Beliefs is posted on the Forum, don't go into it expecting people to stay in line. TCon is one of the most religious believers I've met in the coaster community and I think he is a fine man for sticking with what he believes (I think gazag may have sharpened the bullet too much by accusing TCon of being jealous of single occultic men) so I daresay any of us, especially TCon, have been "blowing this out of proportion"...

Isn't stereotyping a sin? I'm thirteen years old and I kind of found that statement offensive. I resent that.

Anyway, I still agree with a lot of what TConwell said, but I disagree with his view on homosexuals, simple as that, I think half the forum could agree that we should just keep this thread with peace.

Almost seems like that was said about 12 pages ago calaway, good point. Also, the 'comment' was meant for those that it would fit. If it did fit you, then it was not intended to be directed at you. ;-)

I just meant the fact that your comment appeared to insinuate that all people my age are immature. Yes, I know, 'stereotypical' thirteen year old, "I ARE MACHURE!!One!1" [;)]

...I do not fit that comment! [:p]
