I was at the opening day of Saw The Ride, because I am obsessed with rides and the Saw Films. I was incredibly dissapointed with the reliability of the ride. I know it was the opening day of the ride and problems should be expected but even still. Also I thought the actuall ride had no punch to it. I kind of umph (If you know what I maen!!) unlike coasters like Nemesis, Nemesis Inferno, Colossus and Stealth. The ride was quite dull in my opinion and I have not ridden it since, also the queue time was ridiculous. I would like to know what others think about this please??[:)][?][:)]

As one of the first 20 people to ride it on the 13th March I had an awesome time. Themeing of the queue, inside & out is awesome.
Inside section of the ride again I found fantastic - missing those swinging blades and spikes, what a breathtaking first drop!! Brake run with the air firing at you is pretty random/weird/hmmm... but it shocks you the first time you ride. Heartline - ok you can find 5 of the things on Colossus but this one is also fun! Especially with the risk of getting wet from a dead body.

Love the anticipation before climbing the lift. Again, feeling whilst going up is great. Main vertical drop is fun, perhaps the headchopper is a little dissapointing. Love the immelman, twist and airtime hills that follow. MCBR barely shaves any speed off leading to a fantastic finale of a dive loop. Wow, fast paced!

I would agree that the queue times have been *crazy* over the past 2 months - we're talking 1-2.5hours every day. This has been due to only 4 or 6 cars being in operation. I guess I was lucky being able to ride 11 times walk-on during preview day whilst it was on 8 car op.
Again, breakdowns have plagued the ride. The computer did not accept the car positioning on the MCBR during shut downs. So a magnetic brake was added temporarily whilst mechanics adjusted the main brake callipers. The magnetic brake has now been removed again (yay!) enabling all 8 cars to be back in operation.

So - in summary I think SAW is a fantastic addition. The number of visitors this year surely proves this. Great overall experience. Hope you can revisit sometime and enjoy the ride at its best, with a shorter queue & no breakdowns!

I waited just over three hours for it a couple of weeks after opening day and was hideously disappointed with the ride [lol]. The indoor part of the ride was the best bit! and even that was not great.

They also had issues with reliability while we were queueing for it, so yeah, I also found that disappointing, but I still think it is a good addition to the park, the more rides the better! [:D]

i rode it 2 weeks ago... 1,5 hours line, expected more blood & stuff (gunshot scared hell out of me first time though). coaster itself was fanctastic!! and it didn't broke down all day long, stealth broke down 10 minutes after the previous one, and then after 10 mins again, and again... again.... blah... but it was great!!

I agree with you a bit dragon2000 the inside was good, but it just seemed to be a bit rough and boring on the outside apart from the drop and final inversion. I am moaning a bit much I DID like the ride, but after waiting 2 years for it I was a little dissapointedI quote: "Maybe you expected too much from Gerstlauer" from dj-dj, maybe I did but i still did enjoy the ride I suppose, and dragon2000 is right, missing the pendulums and nails is brilliant. My favourite bit of the ride.

S:TR is my favorite coaster, the two drops really pack a punch, i only got to ride on once because of its rubbish reliability but otherwise i would have spent the whole day on the mighty thing!

Forgot to say - put new wheels on the ride to make it a little smoother now [^]

i must say i really really enjoyed the ride, i was there on a wednesday and it was less than 30 min wait, the themeing is awsome inside and out (but then the saw movies are my favorit horrors) and it did the saw movie qudrilligy justice. the ride offered alot of diffrent feelings in my opinion an thought not as powerful as speed @ oakwood theme park it certainly had a wonderful charm and very much added somthing to the park. the themeing of the area needs to be extened a little with mabye another flat themeed to saw but i must admit i enjoyed the whole experience of the ride from its very good themeing to its overall ride and being on the 2nd car is 100% better than the first. it also ran flawlessly all day withought a breakdown i seen.

Hii people, just to let you know i went to Thorpe Park yesterday, SAW is doing fastrack now on Ulitmate and on it's own for ?????????4. Only lets set amount of numbers go on every hour so it's first come first serve. Also the On-Ride Video is working but at the moment only on some cars. So it's luck chance of getting filmed or not. [:D]
