talking about underage drinking, don't u think its really stupid that u can go to the army in america, go to war, get ur leg blown off by IED come back to the US and not be able to have a drink in the pub?? thats just crazy!

^Thats not really uncommon. Here in Canada you can join the military at 16, but can't drink until you are 19.

18 for us in the uk anfd we can start working part time at 14, but most people dont start untill there 16.

For us it's 15, but most places don't allow you until 16, like BGE.

13 and 14 year olds around my island(yes, I live on an island) work at many places. It just depends on the area and employer I guess.

for us beer is 16 and liquor is 18, but kids of 13 (incl. me when i was 13) drink whatever gets put in our/my/their hands

I remember once seeing an advert in England saying "Drinking under the age of 18 can seriously damage your childs development". Which sounds a fair enough thing to say, but of course me using the internet and the internet being a completely open thing which is usually aimed at the US, I see an banner on the internet that is almost exactly the same as the posters that were here in the UK that says "Driking under the age of 21 can seriously damage your childs development"... either I'm missing something nyah or our governments are lying to us! [:O] shock horror! I wouldn't expect that to happen! [lol] I just found that quite amuzing when I saw it, also, HAHAHAHAHA *points and laughs at all Americans for having to wait till they are 21 before legally being able to walk into a bar and injest alcoholic beverages [:D]
