So my dad and I ran up from Allentown near Dorney to Boston to catch the Red Sox on Sat. night. We stayed in a hotel below Boston and got up to head home. He said to me "Hey wanna go to Six Flags for a bit?" and of course I couldn't pass that up. Since I leave next week for college my dad had that bit of surprise up his sleeve after and awesome day in the city. It was pouring rain all day, but we got to the park around 1 and the park informed us the rides only shut down for lightning, which was not to be found. Despite the rain, I literally walked on every coaster including Bizarro 4 times for a discounted late gate fee. Rode everything in about 4 hours and we were on the road and back home by 10PM tonight. Bizarro was incredible. I don't know how to explain it but those of you who have ridden it will know the feeling you get the first time you ride...insanity.

As for the employees, I was very unimpressed. They were very arrogant and pompous and insisted that we could not wait for the front row on almost every ride because they wanted to keep the lines moving. At Batman, after I explained how I made a special trip to the park he still insisted I move to a different row in order to keep the line moving. I answered with "What line?" and looked around and the ride op went back to his post and let me wait for the front. No wonder its "More Flags, More Fail." On a day where they are lucky to even have people at the park, they don't even treat them like valued customers. And they were dispatching extremely slowly. There was NOBODY in the station for Thunderbolt, yet I waited over 15 minutes to ride because they all looked at each other with their thumbs in their ears as if they were TRYING to look like they didn't know what they were doing. I waited 30 minutes for the Cyclone because someone puked all over the 6th row and the ride ops took 15 minutes to drink some water and get rubber gloves to clean it, then insisted on waiting 10 mins between the test runs and actually loading.

For some reason though, I am not going to complain because I rode probably the best steel coaster in the world 4 times in less than 45 minutes which most people probably dream of. And the rest of the line up was fair, so despite the extremely poor employment, I was happy with the day...and who wouldn't be happy spending a day at an empty SFNE? Overall fun factor: SIX FLAGS. Overall employee factor: -2 FLAGS.

Yeah well if you liked it as bizarro, then superman would have been the only ride you had ridden at all that day.

Well I did notice the lap bar hit your knees a bit, so the T-Bar would have been better IMO. The flames were not working due to the rain, but the audio and mist was going. The mist was very cool and the lights on the hollow bizarro sheilds were working too. I couldn't really hear the audio the first half of the ride (I think it may have shut off). Overall it's probably the best steel coaster I've been on special effects or no special effects. I feel that I kinda experienced a mix between Bizarro and Superman because not all of the effects were on. Either way it's an awesome ride. Since it was my first time there I went on everything, but after Bizarro/Superman, there's nothing else to ride there.

Well not only does the tbar not hit your legs, but it also sits normally in your lap not on top of your thighs, and therefor doesnt bruise them like the lapbars now, and you could leave space with the old ones which is something you ABSOLUTELY cannot do anymore because they will tighten after the first drop. And they turned off the flames because of the budget. They havent gone since early this year. It wasnt the rain.

Ohhh ok. Well yea I noticed the bars were a little low on your thighs. I still loved the ride. IMO they are changes that probably did not improve the ride like SF would have hoped, but they are not dramatic enough to take alot away from the ride. OTSR would have been something that would have done that.

No I'm not mad that you said it, I'm mad that I found out that they made that change. The lapbar not moving is one of the great parts of Intamin rides, and they went and messed that up too.

Yeah u got it! The best part of superman for me was the airtime progression in the first half, first drop, light extended airtime hill that gives you multiple seconds without touching the seat, overbank and turns, slightly more agressive airtime hill that throws you up out of your seat, then crazy out of controll ejector airtime hill that sends you flying into your harness, now it is first drop with no airtime and no view, then a long airime hill that feels forceless because you are pinned in your seat, and slightly painfull because of the awkward harnesses, then you have an overbank and turny section that you hit your knees like crazy and hit your head around on the headrests, then an even more painfull airtime hill, then an EXTREMELY painful airtime hill, both without your but able to leave the seat.

Yea it is not airtime that you would expect on something like Nitro or Apollo's Chariot...it's more like you are leaning forward.

Well thats if your in the front. The place to ride is the back. You feel like you are launching over every hill, not leaning over.

Yea the back pulls you down cuz the bar is so tight. It does bang your head ever so slightly in the back too.
