Six Flags Entertainment Corp. has created a new website for its first park to be built in China, specifically in Haiyan within the Zhejiang province and on the coast of Hangzhou Bay. It will be a short 45 mile journey from Shanghai to the park.

The company has been giving small updates on the coming Chinese parks during earning calls, but this new web presence is the most we've seen so far. The theme park is part of a much larger development that includes residential, entertainment and retail areas - a modern lifestyle community.

The site has several pieces of concept art for Six Flags China and the overall project, however it is the same art that was released some time ago and isn't very specific. As you can see many of the rides are pretty general looking, making it hard to even really guess at the specific types of thrills offered. The park's page touts that it "will feature a number of record-breaking roller coasters, unique thrill experiences, incredible live shows and more." Six Flags Entertainment will lease the name of the park and is working on the design phase, but will not own or operate this new park.

Image

I know it is highly stylized, but one could wager a guess that the roller coaster seen in this art may be a B&M dive coaster - the Ferris wheel off to the left is fairly obvious though. In one of the news-bits on the new website there is a great aerial plan of the park but most of the 'guts' of the theme park aren't featured, like the area out over the bay where many of the bigger rides appear to be located.

Since specific attractions have not yet been announced Six Flags China is promising updates to the website soon, and you can be sure we've bookmarked the site to watch for those details!

^ It's just an early artist drawing. Rumor has it a Dive Coaster could go there.

Honestly I don't think Six Flags will buy any knock-offs.

I'll believe this when it happens to be honest. The Dubai park still hasn't broken ground and pretty much all of SF's overseas attempts never really worked out.

If it's cheap and gimmicky, they will.

Going to bump this thread with some interesting developments.

Firstly, an overhead planning map has been surfaced for Six Flags Zhejiang:

Image

From looking at this map, it seems like the park will have 8 or 9 coasters when it opens fully by 2019/2020. From what i can make out, it seems like the coasters will be:

A clone of Goliath from Six Flags Great America
A Large coaster travelling around the entrance of the park
A Mack Water Coaster
A Mack PowerSplash
A S&S 4D Free Spin/Intamin ZacSpin
A Vekoma Suspended Family Coaster 453m
A Zamperla Family Gravity Coaster
What i believe will be a Gerstlauer Spinning Coaster

Those are what i could make out, there may be more coasters that we don't know of yet. It also appears from several concept images and the overhead plan that the park will have an S&S Combo Shot Tower, a Star Flyer, a Zamperla Giant Discovery, a Rapids and several other attractions. Keep in mind that this is just speculation and this could change come park opening.

Here is in the meantime a concept image of the park:

...and here is what the site currently looks like:

A Hurricane Harbour will also be on the site of Six Flags Zhejiang for which slide parts have already began to arrive:

That all from this update.

LOL, the inverted coaster on the concept art is a direct copy of a Coasterdynamix model :)

See this as a bit of a reference:

I will also add that the popular rumour for the entrance coaster is that it will be a launch coaster from Premier Rides. The park will also be recieving a mine train coaster (manufacturer unknown at the moment) and a dark ride theme to Tuzki. For those wondering what the hell that is...

...it's this:

That's all for now.

I???d guess the minetrain is a Vekoma 785m model. I do think your guess of a Gerstlauer spinner is correct, as it seems very likely. But... what if the entry gate coaster is one of those wild new S&S prototypes? The layout looks similar to Do-Dodonpa, to be honest.

Some huge news for Six Flags Zhejiang from Shenzhen Renyi, the company behind many installations of western built coasters in China. They have revealed details about 4 of the coasters coming to the new park. Of course they reveal that two of the coasters are a Mack Power Splash and a Vekoma Suspended Family Coaster 453m (Labelled as a VR Coaster), but the other two are very interesting:

Mack Mega Coaster
Height - 57m (187ft)
Drop - 61m (200ft)
Length - 1135m (3723ft)
Speed - 115.2kmh (72mph)
Inversions - 2
Ride Time - 2mins 24secs
Max Gs - 4.1
Capacity - 107pph
People Per Train - 24

GCI Wooden Coaster (Labled "Wood Like" Coaster?)
Height - 36.9m (121ft)
Drop - 34m (112ft)
Max Gs - 3.5
Speed - 88km/h (54mph)
People Per Train - 14

If i could hazard a guess as to what these are, i would say the Mack Mega is the entrance coaster and the GCI will be in place of where the RMC Goliath clone would of been.

Updated plans for Six Flags Zhejiang:

Image

Image

In terms of the coasters line up this time around, it seems like this park will have eight coasters which include:

Mack Rides Hypercoaster (the entrance coaster)
GCI Wooden Coaster
Vekoma Suspended Family Coaster
Vekoma Junior Coaster 207m
Mack Powersplash
S&S 4D Freespin
Unknown mine train coaster
What appears to be a spinning coaster of some sort (Probably Gerstlauer)

In the meantime, here's some more concept art:

...and finally, vertical construction on the park has begun. Well, just the water park at the moment:
