Screamscape posted this rumor recently that says that SFMM might receive the world's tallest Starflyer, also known as Sky Screamers in the chain. This seems like a nice addition and replacement for the old observation tower that is closed. In order to get the world record they will have to beat out the New England Sky Screamer at SFNE that stands at 410 feet tall.

That's been my favorite rumor and my personal guess for SFMM's addition for a while now. This would be a great fit for this park due to its Grand scale and how they don't have many thrilling flats. The giant super loop thing is just dumb in my mind however.

I really hope so. I like Star Flyers and this is the perfect addition to follow up Justice League. Then we just need a package of 2-3 flat rides in 2019 and SFMM will have finally listened to what so many of us have been asking for since... I don't know, 2005?

I'm assuming like the aerial view from the SFMM Star Flyer will make Tatsu look more special! :D

Apparently these were leaked. Not sure if they're real or not but Crazanity sure is a stupid name.

It's real. Holy bad names Batman, WTF? Just heard the name for the SFNE version, it's not much better and completely recycled. Six Flags is just horrible at naming otherwise awesome rides.

That's more awful than Total Mayhem which I barely thought was possible but no six flags continues to surprise
Ok but how desperate you have to be to voluntarily fly from another country to go to Thorpe?

Naming scheme predictions:
2021-Total Nightmare
2025-Steel Scaresanity
2030-Daughter of Wonder Woman Bracelet Coaster
2040-uoghuisggegegwidghui coaster

Terrible name aside, great addition to this park sorely in need of non coaster rides. That's two in a row now!

Glad they're getting one of these, but trees in the vicinity of a new attraction? That's not the SFMM I know.

World???s Tallest Pendulum Ride, CraZanity, at Six Flags Magic Mountain in 2018 - Now 365 Days of Thrills

Newly themed Boardwalk Area With Renovated Attractions, Dining, Games and Shopping Coming in 2018

LOS ANGELES, Calif. ??? August 31, 2017 ??? Six Flags Magic Mountain, the undisputed ???Thrill Capital of the World,??? today unveiled plans for a crazy fun 2018 when CraZanity, the world???s tallest pendulum ride, makes its debut in late spring. At a record-breaking 17-stories in the air, this impressive giant disk will reach speeds up to 75-miles-per-hour, as it whips back and forth??? higher and higher to give riders a staggering view of the world below them.
The Los Angeles-based theme park also recently announced it is entering the destination travel market by launching a 365-day operating calendar on January 1, 2018. With Southern California welcoming more than 47 million visitors annually and a noted theme park mecca, Six Flags will now have an operating schedule on par with all other theme parks in Southern California.

???Known world-wide for having the best thrills bar none, combined with a strong and expanding global Six Flags brand, there is no better time to enter the destination market. The addition of 100 days not only greatly expands our travel industry opportunities, but also allows us to further leverage the vast population of 24-million Southern California residents and our valued Season Pass Holder base who recognize that Six Flags Magic Mountain is hands down the place for thrills,??? said Park President Bonnie Sherman Weber. ???The new CraZanity is a mash up of craziness and insane fun, an experience different from anything else we have in our unparalleled thrill ride arsenal. We are delighted to introduce what will be the centerpiece of a newly-themed, Boardwalk area, and another world-record attraction.???

The Boardwalk highlights include:
??? CraZanity ??? where 40 riders will experience speeds up to 75 miles-per-hour as they
reach a world-record 17 stories high;

??? The pendulum swings back and forth while rotating counterclockwise;

??? As guests swing higher and higher, they will experience a feeling of weightlessness at
172 feet in the air; and,

??? Enhanced Bumper Cars, renovated attractions, dining, games and shopping.

This isn't even the world's tallest pendulum ride. The KMG Infinity hits 200 ft.

SFMM should have gotten that and made it at least 201 ft. I bet whatever carnivals feature that ride require at least 8 tickets for it like the Speed ride at the fair.

The one at Cranger Kirmes wasn't that expensive, although I have no idea what 8 tickets is in real money.

Why? The park needed a large flat ride. In fact, they need several.

But I'll be happy with just this one. Several large flats at SFMM would not operate consistently.
