I saw a rumor on screamscape that Six Flags is looking into installing a Dive Coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure in 2011. I had about 2 months ago thought to myself how beneficial a good dive coaster would be to the six flags Chain, but I had been thinking that Magic Mountain would receive the Dive Coaster in 2010 rather than a Kiddie Coaster. However there is a rumored Coaster for Magic Mountain in 2011/2012, and I am wondering if the Great Adventure Coaster is successful if Dive Machines might start showing up at other parks. I was wondering how big of a scope might these coasters be, Bigger or smaller than the Busch Coasters.

Anyone know more or have any opinions on this?????

Why would Great Adventure need even more coasters? Can't SF just put the money into improving their parks.

Or at least give it to me.

I personally think that Great Adventure would be one of the last places for it to go. Six Flags doesnt really like that park for original concepts. Im going to do some more searching and see what I can find. Anyone heard of this rumor. thoughts?

NO, it should go to Great Escape. Our tallest coaster is boomerang! Comet is better, but we need a good non-woodie!

Yeah I think it will definitly be one of their big steel parks. I also think Six Flags over Georgia or Six Flags over Texas would benefit. But I still think the Ideal place is Magic Mountain.

What park exactly. I will make a special visit cause I am a Dive Machine fan. I would like to see a longer one, say 4000ft range with a zero g roll.

That's it. You have no prototypes whatsoever aside from a B&M looper with a slightly different train. Chiller wasn't the first Premier and just making it race isn't spectacular. Nitro wasn't even close to the first of anything.

Nitro was the first B&M to use an alternative chain disengage that no longer required the pre drop on all previous B&M coasters.

And thus was the first B&M hyper to have an incredibly lame first drop. The kicker section makes those drops awesome.

A Zero G Roll, with a 10 seat wide train, would be ridiculous [lol]

4000ft long dive machines? Do you like MCBR's? You'd need two of them to go over 4000ft wouldn't you?

Not at all, since the exit of their immelmans are basically half-zero-G rolls, it doesn't take a lot of imagination to paste a diveloop-entrance to an immelman-exit.

Exactly, plus the laterals on a 10 seat wide Zero G would be like the inside of a washing machine on the outside of the train. On the inside it would just be a zero g. 2 experiences in one, Awesome. And yes 2 MCBR would allow for a longer ride, and more inversions and unique elements.

I meant looks-wise, and I meant it in a good way! I should have phrased it better, but I thought the laughing face would make it obvious.

I mean that it would look crazy, a train that wide rotating around 360 degrees like that, it would be something I'd like to see that is for sure.

Well i was at a recent ace event at sfne, and they said that there is not going to be almost any new coasters for 2010 for any of the parks, and if anything they may relocate some coasters. They said 2010 is a MAJOR rehab year preparing for their 50th aniversary. But they have some HUGE plans for 2011 that they cant tell.

BTW they have already started on the rehab. They repainted flashback VERY recently and mind eraser at the begginning of the year.

They still arent finished for next year with flashback from what ive heard. I dont know quite what else they are doing.

And as an interested speculator i'm interested in where this dive machine would be located at SFGA and maybe what its details might be.

SFNE needs something new. Last coaster they got was Batman, like 8 years ago (excluding that spinning coaster crap)
