Hey guys, i'm making a station in Sketch up. I know the basics of how to build the station but the problem is when I convert it to 3ds, and put it in NL, it becomes dark a kinda glitchy, screens:

I should note a few things:
-It's not textured yet, and even with the textures it happens
-The shadows are disabled in sketch up and the NL Sim

Some of the sides have not been done properly. The missing faces are probably because you put the backside up in the modeler. Don't know how to use the program, but that's the most likely issue.

Another possible issue is that some polygons are too close to each other. Never let them intersect, space them out, and connect everything when you model.

Ok this is an export issue. If you don't know how to do it then don't use sketchup. Mine come out fine except I have a shadow issue but I will figure that out some other day...

^^ It wasn't finished in those screens that explains why some of the sides are missing.

If that's not the issue, then it's probably intersecting polygons.

Export with another program. Sketchup doesn't export to 3ds correctly. That's what I do, and my models come out fine.

Can you give us a name of a program that can export sketchup files.

I meant other than sketchup. The sketchup exporter is buggy. Jakizle mentions another software but doesn't mention which.
