Remember when Skyrocket was announced? How about that NL animation?
Oh, were you expecting something here?

I like it. But I have to ask, why are these "winged seats" different than the outer seats on new B&M hypers? Is it simply the fact that they're a bit further out? Or are they actually a lot further out, and suspended above nothing?

its intamins take on b&m
and it looks like s**t
all it does is turn around 3 times and then go to the breaks,
if it actually did something amazing, i would be impressed, but by what i can see it looks like a fail on intamins part...

What the hell are you even complaining about? It's their longest coaster with an 85 degree drop followed by 4 ground-hugging turns and 5 airtime hills. This will easily be the best coaster in the park.

Why don't they just use Furius Baco-style wingriders? I'd assume that those do a better job at what they do than the ones in the video.

I'd assume that Intamins decision is superior to your assumption. Furious Baco was supposed to be pretty rough in the outer seats. Perhaps the seats weren't as stabilized that far away from the actual carriage? I'm pretty sure this improved design will be smoother then the previous.

Ah, yes. I had a short mental lapse and forgot about smoothness. The "job" that I was referring to was how well they simulate the sensation of flight, which is where Furius Baco does a great job.

Also remember the space requirements for that style compared to the style Hershey park has gone with. They dont need a huge station for the ride nor do they need a giant clearance envelope for the coaster itself. They are putting this ride in a tight spot so they needed as much space as they can but also wanted higher capacity than a normal 2 seater. I think this is a great way to do it.

He's right. If you read the PDF, it clearly states that the trains allow for compact and MEGA coaster layouts. I wonder if Mauer knows about this. Do you think that they might have collaborated with Intamin?

Really guys? The last two of you make no sense. I don't think the trains look much alike at all apart from being 4 across...

These are cantilevered trains. Also, you cant patent a "4 across" idea and be so general you exclude all other 4 across rides so what does it matter is Mauer knows? There's no breach of patents or B&M would have had the corner on that market.

Think before you guys write this stuff.

I'm not saying that Intamin ripped off Mauer. It was just something curious to think about. The two ideas are very similar. I understand there are differences. I was just more curious if maybe Mauer had shared the idea with Intamin.

Doubtful. The 4 across idea has been around as long as B&M. Im sure theyve been exploring it for awhile. Its just naive to think its like some friends sharing ideas.

So I just watched the announcement video again...they couldn't even change the colors of the track in the animation? That just seems so sad. Has laziness written all over it. Let's just hope they weren't lazy with the structural analysis of the supports [lol]

My only complaint is that I'm not sure how bright yellow track goes with everything else lol.

Does anyone know if this will feature traditional Intamin box track or the newer style track like I305?

Anyone else notice the overhead lap bars that look like b&m clamshells a bit?

Yeah, the main part looks like the ones on B&M hyper's. I can't tell if they are OSTR's or not though. I hope for the sake of Werner Stengel they aren't.
