You need an account to view the update, and I don't feel like making one. Could you link directly to the photo(s)?

I would say that because the forces are so strong and abrupt on I305 and the directional changes are more sudden than this ride's (I assume) that having a lap bar, or an open seat like this, could cause a rider to get injured if they are not prepared.

Wow. That just dominates the whole skyline. Sadly, my school gets out on May 22 this year, so I have to take a seperate trip to ride it. :(

Those restraints look seriously awesome and not at all intrusive for the rider... more Intamins needs these restraints!!!

This is a really cool article about the designing process of Skyrush! It also tells the other manufacturers that Hershey park consulted. It's a great read!

Skyrush is now complete!

http://keystonethrills.wordpress.com/20 ... -complete/

It'll be quite the striking coaster when the creek is full again, though it has bothered me since day 1 that they didn't choose a slightly punchier blue for the supports. Regardless, with its low to the ground course and nearly ideal trains it shouldn't disappoint [=

^What about the train do you think diverts it from being perfectly ideal?

I agree about the color! Being so tall I think the blue could be a little more bold.

That first low-ground left turn is banked soooo highly wow.

^True! But sky blue doesn't have to mean an anemic pastel blue.

And Gerst, the trains look great and comfy, Intamin may well have designed an ideal train. Time will tell.

^^Good point boneplaya, it's only that yellow and blue is probably one of my favorite combinations. They look so good together, the fact stands it would look better with darker blue haha. But you are right that it's appropriate.

The connectors of the lapbar would be out of the way if a fat person were to ride this, if the lapbar was down on them. But what if someone is really really large and the bars can't get passed their sides?

Then you have the same results if that person couldn't be secured on any other well-run ride in the world?

Yeah got it. These just look like they're less permitting than I would have predicted. The side bars seem like they're kinda close together, but it's probably just due to it being a picture.

I think this style looks cooler:

What one's do you guys like better? Of course SkyRush's definitely makes use with much less room. But with DDD's there's no chance of not fitting through that space hahaha.

Then it would eject fatties like every other restraint system ever invented does when it can't close properly you dumbass.

On topic I'm excited for testing videos, I thought we would see them by yesterday or today but I was clearly wrong
What are these for?

Dare Devil Dive is very roomy. I am fairly big 250 lbs and have no problem with the restraints/lapbar. They make you raise your hands to lower and raise the lapbar automatically. I manage to have some room between the lapbar and myself for pops of airtime on the first drop and in the inversions. Maybe SkyRush restraints will allow people of larger size to ride without being denied?

^I think it will probably be okay. You shouldn't have a problem at least. Once someone starts to get into 300ish pounds then it's probably going to be a close squeeze... but it also depends on the height.

*Eagerly awaits testing video!
