Today I went to do a little side job. I was sawing this small piece of wood, about foot and a half long. Well it was a crap of a saw, black and decker home use saw I had my pro skillsaw in the truck, I was gonna get it, that beast cuts up anything, heck used that to cut a 4 inch steel bar once and didn't give me probs. Well back to the subject, was using that cheap saw and the thing was kicking because it was old wood and it was the hard kind, anyway I go saw it and it was kicking, then my "boss" had the idea to put his hand and hold the wood so the saw wouldn't kick. I told him to remove his hand, I mean he had his hand like 6 inches away from where I was cutting, he saw" na na it's ok I hold it and you cut" I warned him again and he got a little mad and said "just cut already!!!!" Well, I went ahead and as expected the saw kicked back and sliced and diced his right thumb Blood was gushing all over the place. Fortunately it did not cut it off, it reached down to the bone, we could see it, gruesome eh? So lesson of today, follow the employees directions He did not go to the hospital, we dipped the finger in oxygenated water, gauzed it up and he was ok, it would bleed if he moved his hand or anythng but he says he'll be allright. I wasn't gonna charge him for the work, only $60 anyway for what I did, when he paid me he gave me $150 and he said this "I gave you this extra money cuz I am stupid at not listening to you." Pretty sad tho, he shoulda listened and none of that woulda happend. Oh well, that was gruesome to see, just not as gruesome as to what I saw the other day, but I wont go into those details or else some of you will puke all over your keyboards, that other incident resulted in death [:O]
