I have been busy with alot of things lately as most of you know. Riptide was my main focus this past few months. The vids for it and all of that 3ds.

I also have been working on something a bit more to your interests. Most of you have been wondering what was going on with gravimetricstudios and the Object Creator.

I have some GREAT news for you all. I have been beta testing the NEW and much improved Object Creator "2".

I have had the program for quite some time and it has come along way. Tia approached me one day on AIM right out of the blue!

Tia sent the program to me (was still in the starting stages)

I was very excited!

There is alot of new features in the OC2.

1. 3ds importing.
2. OC1 importing.
3. Boolean subtraction!
4. Floating tool bars.
5. Alpha texturing corrected to see it like it is.
6. Tutorials to go along with building as you build.

to name a few...

Here are some screen shots of the NEW OC2.

There is a video I made for the OC2 and that will be coming soon.

The price on this has not been determined yet.

You have any questions please feel free to ask.

Looks amazing, might give me a reason to finally learn object creating.

Awesome to hear Tia's fine after her health issue a few months back too.

That looks pretty nice, can't wait to see some more new features.

I really like the 3ds import feature!!!! That will make this easy product even easier to use when building around the track!

Sounds interesting. I didn't really like the first one since it felt way too limited and found anim8or to be better, but combining both tools will be even better and I can get around some alpha texturing issues that anim8or has. Will OC2 also support env mapping? I assume OC2 supports the png format as well since it's much more commonly used than tga's and easier to work with in photoshop.

"will it be able to import other objects apart from 3ds"

No. Only 3ds and the Object Creator 1 projects only.

" so umm, what does Boolean Subtraction do?"

You can make tunnels in objects or holes to add things to. No OC2 will not cut a hole in a flat plane. Must be a solid object like a cube or something of that nature.

" Really interesting...when will it be available?"

I would have to say in a few months. We are "BETA" testing it now. Finding all of the little quirks and trouble spots in the program. Takes time to do that. :)

Thanks for all of the input and comments!

I thought so, I couldn't imagine anything other that has to do with Boolean editing that could be useful for anyone using NL.

one other question, will we be able to either import NL tracks or have some way of seeing them in the editor?

i agree that would be a very helpful tool, or is it possable to create a program that will make a 3d object of the coaster from NL.

oh yea, let's just make it free just cause you're just now learning to use the older version.

if you knew how much goes into a program that only serves to make your fake coasters look a little more realistic, you wouldn't bitch about having to pay for it.

got a few more questions.

- will there be texture refreshing? it gets annoying to have to restart the program to use textures you just put into the folder.
- will it have bug fixes? (such as objects changing shape while being moved and random crashes)

I'm not sure if you can still buy it.

You CAN import them into the OC2 but, its not reccamended as the program will be slow as a snail. I have done it and you will be able to highlight certain sections and work on them. You won't have to have the whole track visable to work on it.

As for the price there has not been any disscusion about it yet.

Not that I know of. I can ask and see if that can be worked on.

You can not buy the old OC at this time. :(

(I wish I could upload the video so you can see it here on wws)

^^You need help

I like GSOC 1, but I'm hoping that GSOC 2 will be better for detail and more quality 3D arts, because I think it's time for myself to step it up a notch. I am trying to use GMax, and I'm getting decent with working at it, but I always liked the ObjectCreator's layout and icon settings more...don't know why [lol]!
