So I am going to try to build a nice little family ride based off of the 80s Hanna-Barberra cartoon the "Snorks". Its going to be a small mine train since thats the track style I want and the corkscrew train is not what I have in mind for this ride.

I am going to need a little bit of help with the ride though. One thing is a car-texture and the other is a lot of 3ds for themeing the ride. I can send the finished track minus supports to anyone who can do 3ds and knows what the characters looked like.

If anyone is intrested in helping me out, please PM me or respond here. I will re-pay whoever helps in some form or another.

I cant show any pictures yet since I have not started building the ride yet. The track will be blue as well as the supports. Thats all that I have gotten so far. I am going for a two train ride with five or six cars depending on how the track goes along. Hopefully having a distance of 750 through 2000 feet and a height of about 45-55 feet.

More to come as the project gets worked on. I should have some pictures up tonight for you all to see.

Ok, I have now gotten a complete track and a few stats for said track. The coaster is a simple out-and-back family ride with a top speed of about 37 MPH. I did go above my height limit by almost 10 feet but its still firmly a family ride. Her are the stats, pictures to fallow.

Ride Stats:

Height: 63.3 Feet
Top Speed: 37 MPH (Estimated)
Track Length: 1,979.39 Feet
Ride Time: 1:35 (From station exit to stopping in the station to unload.)
Cycles Per Hour: 44.44 (Estimated)
Riders Per Hour: 2,666.4 (2 Train Op) 1,333.2 (1 Train Op) (Estimated)
Train Count: 2
Cars Per Train: 5
Guests Per Train: 30

Car Texture on the corkscrew style train. As you can see, its not winning any awards or anything. Ignore this as it is not the right coaster style anyway.

View from the station to the helix.

First drop(s) send the train to its highest speed of about 37 MPH.

This is the helix. The big box will soon become a "Snork" stature if I can get help with the 3D Theme work.

Do you think their is enough clearance for supports in these two shots? The second might give you a better perspective on the issue.

Image

The train is on its way back to the station now. At the top of the hill there will be some kind of monster/bad guy which your train will run away from.

Image

As you run from the bad guy you dive through this tunnel in some coral and escape. Ignore the support box. It is just marking the track as it goes through.

Image

The train now hops down four hills before turning around a kelp stalk (tree) and going back to the station.

Early work on the lift hill supports. I am starting with pre-fabs and adding on to them as I go.

Hope everyone likes the ride. The colors are final but I could again use some 3d help and a car-texture. As far as the car texture goes, I have a basic idea and stuff I can send you to help your design. I'll reward anyone who offers to help with these respects.

PS: Please dont ask to be a tester on this. The layout is final as are the colors. Its not perfect but its not supposed to be.

Looks good, not sure how you are going to make the car texture work for the mine train track style. You might want to contact meta or thearchitect for that. Maybe just thearchitect because he could do 3ds too. Anyway, looks like a good ride and I hope to see more of it.

Thanks to "bockzilla" for sending me a picture that I can use on the car texture.

I wouldn't say there is enough head room, no. Looks like the rails are just floating in that pic, weird.

Yea, I dont know if that a W7 issue or if its just my computer.

As for the height of the helix, I'll tweak it a bit so that there is more clearance for supports.
