there are many places they could put it if that's what's going in. Those places aren't easy to get pics of since they aren't really guest areas at the moment but more undeveloped island. Maps kinda make it look like CP is crowded but there are still some fairly large patches of marsh and wooded areas that aren't used at all. It was getting too dark to take pics of Mean Streak with an iphone, I'll have to catch those next trip

Tony Clark has posted on Twitter that Cedar Point has given clearance for him to say that the 2015 announcement will be on September 2nd at high noon!

I put in a complaint on that yesterday XD I wrote "I understand Cedar Fair parks do thier own thing, but today is Six Flags chain announcement and Carowinds already showcased their huge plans, we should at least have heard when the announcement is for Cedar Point, especially if we need to get last rides in". It's probably coincidence but I'm going to think they listened haha

It won't be a new coaster let's face it Gatekeeper was 2 years ago and I think they want to wait a little longer before building something brand new.

My guess for CP 2015 is Mantis conversion, and something to do with Mean Streak, possibly RMC that biotch.

I'm pretty sure RMC is full with the SF remodels and wildfire this year, hopefully next year we start seeing them branch off into other big chain parks....

I also think they won't add a new coaster. It's too early with Gatekeeper just built 2 years ago. I say it could be the long overdue dark ride

They hinted something with Mean Streak, could be the Lebron James thing.

Ive been looking at the hints by Cedar Point, and they seem to be focusing on Mantis and Mean Streak. Bold guess time! I think they repaint Mantis and install floorless or sitdown trains on it, and rename Mean Streak after LeBron James, and possibly a revamp or maybe even an RMC overhaul

I haven't seen a nice sit down train in quite a while.

Sitdowns have basically died out, which is not right as I rode Wildfire and it is way better than a floorless coaster.

It's three to six buttons depending on what position you're at. The control room panel looks nuts because it has a section for each of the 55555555 pieces of transfer the ride has but you really press like three buttons total to operate the ride normally.

The buttons are a ready button, something to take the ride out of automatic mode, close/open gates, and like a ride stop button.

So uhm yeah... CP's model was to build a major new attraction every two year. Raptor 944, Mantis 96, Power Tower 98, MF 00 wicked Twister 02, then top thrill dragstor came out the next year and it was kinda random after that. But yeah two years is very common for Cedar Point to build a roller coaster.

Well I would probably poop my pants if I ever rode GateDamnfuck. Because that ride looks so amazing.
