Unofficial NL Mini Contest - Standing Ovation

THERE IS NO TEMPLATE!

Plot: It has been a few years since Georgia Scorcher was built and a small park with big plans and a big budget for the future wants to start things out with a bang. They've chosen you to design their next attraction. Your goal is to make an entertaining standup coaster within realistic limits.

THERE IS NO TEMPLATE!

The Big Important Rules:
*Must be a "Stand Up Twister Steel Coaster" (B&M Standup)
*Must be below 200ft (61 meters) in height. height will be measured according to the bottom of the editor, not the bottom of your terrain. In short, no building up a hill to cheat the height limit.
*Must use a lift and only 1 lift. Absolutely no launches.
*Must be a full circuit coaster. No shuttles allowed.
*Only 1 station allowed. No dueling coasters.
*Must run at least 2 trains and trains must have at least 5 cars per train
*No Length requirement
*No required amount of inversions. make as many or as few as you like.
*Positive G Limits: +4.3 - -.7
*Lateral G Limits +1.3 - -1.3
*Collisions aren't allowed unless they're tunnel to tunnel on the SAME block.
*You must pass E-stop
*Feel free to move around the start point
*Terrain, 3ds, cartextures, tools, all of the add-ons are allowed. I'm not including a template simply because I want to increase creativity. If you want to give me a 100ft cliff it's fine. No terrain? Not a problem. Do what you wish.

Submissions and Deadlines:
*Submission is due October 15th and midnight central time in the USA, Basicly just submit the damned thing before October 16th starts because it's not a difficult concept.
*Upload the ride to the WWS Exchange and then post a link to it the contest thread. I'll do the usual green means I've received, yellow means I've received but it's corrupted, and red means no track present routine.
*An unlimited number of people may join this contest
*To sign up, simply leave a post saying "yo pimpjuice sign me up" or something along those lines so you know I you want to sign up

THERE IS NO TEMPLATE!

Helpful Suggestions:
*The G limits are what they are for the sake of realism. Chang and Mantis drop at 45 degrees and the drops are relatively airless for a reason. Testicle crunching on a bike seat hurts.
*Intamin made standups are look pretty similar to the B&M standups. The Intamin ones are in a slightly different building style and one of them even includes a zero G roll. Keep that in mind to spark your creativity.
*You don't need to follow the B&M "loop, dive loop, dive loop, inclined loop, bunch of corkscrews and turns, final brakes" formula. Be creative! Inversions ARE NOT the ride, they're simply a small part of it. If you want to make a standup that has no inversions, DO IT! Feel free to do whatever you want within the constraints.
*I will be very lenient on adrenaline since the G limits kind of kill the potential to really go nuts with the ride.
*When I say lift hill I mean a lift hill. Use your own reasoning on this one here. A 45mph lift hill is going to be considered a launch in my book. I can tell when people try and bend around the rule system since I do it all the time. I don't like that. Be reasonable and make something realistic.
*Use custom supports. They look nice. I understand in many cases prefabs will work but it looks s much better when custom supports are used. Plus B&M supports are not hard at all.
*3ds and scenery are nice, but if my FPS start getting bogged down it tends to make me a wee bit cranky....
*Do something original, be creative and have fun!

Rating Guidelines:
*I will rate each track in a word document kept in my computer and then on the final day make a fancy post declaring the winner. You're promised a rate in the exchange from me as well because I'll just copy and paste the rate.
*I basically rate on realism, did you kill the riders, did it crash, etc. Realistic rides don't kill people. Make something fun within the guidelines, upload it and post your link in the contest thread, and you're promised a rate. Not hard at all.

THERE IS NO TEMPLATE!

Prize
1st Place - 50,000 Points
2nd Place 25,000 Points
3rd Place - 10,000 Points

Reminder
There is no template. Feel free to do WHATEVER you want with the ride as long as it stays in the above G and height requirements. 3ds, terrain, cartextures, tools, all of it fine by by me.

I'm in. I might not get it in time however.

The rules are a little loose, but it's fine with me.

You can use whatever lack of tools or amount of tools you want. You can make whatever inversions or lack of inversions you want. If you read the rules I even said the British Intamin Standup has a zero G roll. I'm trying to make this very open to increase participation.

*Collisions aren't allowed unless they're tunnel to tunnel on a different block.

Maybe it's just me, but this one seems to be a bit off... Different should be same, no? [;)]

Well, I've never tried a stand-up in NL before, so it's worth a shot even if I suck at steel rides...

hook me up!

sounds fun but the least you could do is make a template maybe, it seems kinda unfair without one...just a thought...

If you want me to make a template I can upload a blank NL file if you really want me to. Th G limits should be challenging enough.
