So Space Mountain Mission 2 is being rethemed for 2017 into Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain: Rebel Mission. It's also getting new vest trains. I'm really happy for the new trains and the SMM2 theme wasn't that great anyways.

I think the smm2 theme is nice. I'm not a big fan of starwars so personally I don't like the theme change. I hope they will make the ride interesting for people who are not that into starwars.

I do however like the new trains :)

I never liked the upgrade on the original space mountain to Hyperspace mountain. So I'm curious how this is going to work out. I do welcome the new trains, it was highly necessary!

Looking at those trains I kinda get a California Screamin' idea. The same kind of squarish trains.

I........ I'm offended...... Its like they tried to keep the De La Terra A La Lune theme yet randomly decided to mix it with starwars, the trains just look awful.

I heard the trains were ordered for a while, even before the decision to turn Space Mountain into Hyperspace Mountain. So the trains are themed about Space Mountain. Also, the Star Wars theme is temporary. ;)
