I new I had seen a coaster with a station that had a curve in it. Well to all those who say a coaster can't have a station with a curve in it, heres the proof:

of course, I doubt there is a brake on that curve and the curve looks like it has to be pretty sharp.

(this post is just for rating purposes only, which is why it is in the NL section and not the real coaster section)

Yeah, Whirlwind @ Knoebels does that also. The brakes are only on the straight sections of the station.

Why would they call their coaster after a WWII anti-aircraft vehicle?

I just found this pic, so I guess coasters like Swartzkopf and Intamin coasters with brakes on the side can have twisted stations too, lol

This has to be one of the wierdest looking stations I have ever seen.

I need an excuse for having a set of trim brakes on a curved section of track on my "Ultimate Nightmare" coaster... any ideas how an inverted coaster can have curved brakes? or should I just change the track layout to make the curve dissapear?

TTD has no brakes in the station areas. Its all kicker wheels. Once its into the very first unload block, its out of any sort of actual brakes. From there, it passes by unload block #2, which is by the shed, and then I believe actually unload blocks #3 and #4 are where you unload. #1 and #2 are more for safety and stacking. A train cannot launch with a train sitting in the #1 unload bay either ;)

And also, TTD couldnt use curved brakes because they use stationary VERTICAL fins unlike MF which uses horizontal fins, but even then they can only turn slightly with those, and very slightly. On MF, after it hits the first set of stationary brakes, the brakes stop as it turns, then it hits the retrackable brakes.

So sure, you can have curved stations, curved brakes, even BANKED stations and BANKED brakes...all under certain conditions.

Banked station occurs on Bullet in Flamingoland. (all wheels)

Banked brakes on Thrill/Texas Tornado/Zonga (I belive it stays banked at the same degree)

Brakes can curve, as long as they dont have metal fin brakes, skid brakes are the only ones that work, or tires.

And as noted above, Curved stations also, as long as the brake fins are not on the curve or use tires.
