I'm not sure if I've posted a topic on this before, and my search feature has never worked, so here it goes.

A while back I made a Storm Runner recreation which, when looked back on, was pretty poor. I've decided to work on it, and make it much more accurate. Here is the progress so far; please ignore the supports on the NEW pictures.

Nice reshaping, are you planning on releasing it?

EDIT: We'll some people just fix up old rides for personal satisfaction, which is why I asked.

^^Well... Yeah...

EDIT: I never give approximate release times. The time it takes is directly proportional to what extent my laziness and effort/drive conflict.

I dont know about the new Snake Dive. Roll still looks a bit off. It doesnt look quite right - but it is better.

What Im more interested in seeing are these tid bits-
www.real-coasters.com go to Hershey then to Storm runner and check out IMG_1999

I want to see the flat section from that angle in the exit of the immelman. IMG_1933 (first image) the train is in the "flat" section. Its not really pulling up yet. The next image is just after you hit all the positive G's and its slamming you down. SR is a very intricate ride. Good luck.

And IMG_2014 shows what I mean about the Snake Roll. The entire thing is actually an airtime hill that is neither flat nor pointy. Your first attempt the rolls were too prominant but now I think they are too subdued.

Yeah, real, the part of the diving loop thing you mentioned is actually something I worked on the most, and still have to finish. And I barely even touched the Snake Dive area; the only thing I really did was make it more heartlined and put the snake dive lower down. I actually plan on completely deleting the h-roll/snake dive section and redoing it; it's hand-heartlined [lol].

Although, I had completely forgotten about your site, and I haven't used any of those pics, lol. I plan on using them in the future. I haven't worked on the rec recently, I have been too distracted with my sudden urge to make an authentic, classic Arrow looper with Arrows genuine characteristics.

This is the new work done on the dive loop element, compared to the real picture on Real's site. I know it needs more work; this is just so far.

EDIT: Thanks to Jake/Gerstl for pointing that out. PLEASE ignore the Tophat in the background. I'm only working on the dive loop; I haven't touched the tophat.

Raise the middle section of the down part a little higher. It looks too flat.

Yea it just needs to exit higher and be flat.

Those are the pictures I want to see. your original pictures dont show good comparisons.

Eh, I'm losing interest for a while. I'll get back to it. I'm focused on my Arrow Coaster now that I somehow had the drive to finish.

And yes, Real, I see what you mean. I'll work on it some other time; I don't feel like it.
