Ever submitted a ride which never really hit it off in the exchange? A ride that you love so much but feel others didn't take notice of all the little details you put in?

Talk about it here. I thought it would be cool if we could bring up our old-ish rides and maybe even give them another chance.

I sometimes go through my rides that i've submitted here and over at Coasters2k.com and think "that was such a cool ride, yeah a little bumpy but killer pacing and layout" then i look at the rates and i've only got one and a dude didn't rate high because the scenery didn't work or something.

For example:

I could make a second version of my bottomless pit ride and fix the track work and supports.

[lol]

If I hadn't been in the competition at the end I probably wouldn't have cared either to be honest. Look at our two tracks compared to stuff in the final round over the last few years; as much as I love GCI in real life, an 80 foot wooden coaster isn't exactly the most epic finish to a contest like this.

(That doesn't mean I wouldn't be happy to get a couple actual ratings though[;)])

The fact that you don't even have a screenshot instantly makes a lot of people to not want to download.

I agree with Coasterpimp. I think a cool screenshot is the key to attracting downloads. In addition, it would help if you added facts, and statistics about the coaster.

I uploaded 2 rides, one was a vekoma kiddie mine train coaster and the other was a LIM bowl, and I thought I did pretty good on both even though one wouldn't pass the tunnel test, and the other was a non-intense kiddie ride. Please give these rides a second chance...hahaa

Oh wow, the perfect thread to stumble upon! I do have one upload (an old one) that made me real disappointed.. The name of it is Aragon, with the only issues being a few red acceleration G's (It's a flying coaster). It got a few bad rates, but honestly I think it deserved much higher for originality and adrenaline. At first it was just for fun, considering it's extreme height and speed.. Anyhow when it came to supporting I went pretty far with it.. Took tons of time.. I don't know just check it out if your bored!

I've actually only got 2 rides that really felt a shame that I didn't got any rates on them. Probably because they were contest tracks, but still I put a good effort of work into them:

Alcohol Celebration Night Rider:

Die Schwarzen Reiter:

Also if anyone is bored enough to take time, to ride my 1 hour submission. Feel free to do it!

Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)

^ similar thing is happening RIGHT NOW with my Shades Of Ash ride. It's in this weeks top rated tracks with a 9.08 from a very conscientious LiveOnEarthsAss. Would really like more rates or at least comments. I'm currently making my way through all these posts and helping where i can.

Architect, I downloaded it yesterday, just didn't have the time. I'll be sure to rate sometime today or this evening.

122 Downloads 0 Rates: DQ'd entry to NLT 10 Round 2 vs. Dirk.

The first time I've made a LIM coaster, built in about a week. Fun and forcefull with 4 inversions. I would like constructive criticism on how I can better my NL hand building skill.

Right now my PC can't run Newton, the other programs confuse me, but I have them. So how can I improve without using the NL tools? And please don't say that I can't, naysayers.

I agree!

Archy; didn't even notice you uploaded it here! I'll go copy my C2K rate. One of my all time favorite designs, that is.

My x car called Barracuda. For what ever reason i thought it was an awesome design with plenty of originality. Apparently no one else thought so. The tilted immelman, the drop, and especially the awesome helix at the end deserved more credit. All three of those elements went completely unnoticed.
