i remember when i was looking on lots of sites trying to find out more about the new sit-down coaster at sfog, i was so excited and then i got my flyer in the mail, and on the front, it said,"5 new rides including our 10th rollercoaster!" i quickly opened it only to find that it was just another kiddie coaster, such a disappointment.im not sure, but i think i am one of the few people that lives in georgia, but still, i was just curious if i was the only one who was disappointed in sfog this year.

yea, i always look at www.rcdb.com and see what the new ride is before i get excited. When i heard of a new ride at hershey i wasnt to excited untill i got online and saw 0-73 mph in 2 sec, 150ft top hat, and 3 inversions. Then i was so happy [:)]. But i can relate, when i heard that Dutch Wonderland (a local kidy park) was getting a new ride i got excited because herhsey just bought the park. Here it was a 15ft high kiddy ride. I was dissapointed [:(]

But in actuality it was a "sit-down" kiddie coaster!? Wow what a bummer! I thought that Six Flags Worlds Of Adventure (Geauga Lake) was getting a new hyper some years back...but it never happened but it probably will now!!!!(CEDAR FAIR!)

Yeah, I can see the Fututre Geauga Lake getting a good Intamin Hyper in a few years. Or a B&M one, but I hope it will be by Intamin.

We got Ricochet and Stealth. I remember being upset that we were getting a mouse and a used coaster but you know what? They shut me up on both occasions. Ricochet is a great mouse ride and promises for a ride full of laughs and now since Borg (Stealth) is in place and running I am a happy camper.
At least be glad your parks actually add something. A bad year is when parks do nothing.

I totally agree Forseer even if it's no ride if it's better food and new attractions I think it's an advancement and besides if no ride is built...more money is saved...and bigger and better rides can be built! But having a new rollercoaster every year is good too! And by the way this is like the first year in a while Cedar Point hasn't got a new ride. I guess TTD was to last them a few years!![lol]

Well, sux for you, rocks for austinpowers5, Cedar Point has been doing a good job with there parks. Take Knott's for example, They bought it, I think they bought it for other reasons than the park itself, *cough* *cough* Snoopy????????? & Friends *cough* *cough*, but still they've done a much better job with it than the original owners. Now it's turning into something that I'm actually thinking about getting a pass for.
P.S I hate you forseer, you ride stealer, I'm possibly going to PGA this year and I won't have stealth to ride cuz of you stupid Caraliners

My homepark, well homepark for a medium sized/non kiddy park is SFDL, and they havn't got anything new since they added S:RoS in 1999! I guess i'm lucky enough though because I live 15 minutes from MFI which has an awesome CCI (Silver Comet) and I'm satisfied with that!

I don't live in Georgia, but I go about once a month. Anyway, I wasn't disappointed because I once I heard they were getting a coaster I knew it was kitty. I wish they would build some really awesome ride like a hyper or somthing. Except it would probably be a mini hyper since the hight limit is only 200 ft. or so.
