Suicidal person closes Elitch Gardens

DENVER- Elitch Gardens Theme and Water Park was closed Monday after a person entered the park and got up to the top of the Sidewinder roller coaster.

A park employee saw the person up there and called police around 8:30 a.m.

Denver Police and Fire responded, and park employees and attendees were evacuated.

Negotiations took place and the person was eventually brought back down to the ground.

That's really sad. I feel for the person. I hope they recover well and regain their lives. The long road to recovery awaits them, and It's good to see another mentally scarred person be saved from eternal slumber and given proper care.
