I think it should not apply it to flat beam handrails unless the handrails are on completely level track. Take a look.

Edit: Pics are removed and are not needed anymore.

As you can see, the handrail posts stick out. Also, it's a pain to manually readjust them. I think this is somehting that would be nice in any updates to the support optimizer.

It has been updated to stop this problem hasnt it? I think its in the new construction kit..

Yes, Biggs is right. The optimizer in the latest construction kit fixes this problem.

It optimizes your wooden supports by putting together seperated beams that are in a straight line of the same type. This means that many support beams that are in a straight line of same type will be 1 beam instead of alot. This simplifies the file, reducing the file size. It also boosts framerates in the sim because there's less polygons.
