I've given her a name change. I never leveled with the name Elephantus and I like Taurus much better, and it fits the ride more properly.

I like the new name, but I think its more appropriate with the original color scheme. When I think of a Taurus I see grays and brown more than yellows and blues
What are these for?

One important thing to note about the box spine used on the lift of Leviathan (if you're in fact trying to replicate it) is that it's only deeper than standard track, not wider.

Hmm, you actually did point out something I didn't care to pay close enough note to! I am going to change my spine to follow this attribute more closely- it will be more realistic. Thank you.

False. The spine of the lift is much wider than the normal spine:

He said deeper than the standard track, not deeper than the standard spine. Mine is just a little bit too wide, because it is close to being as wide as the actual track.

Ibanez illustrates the point well. I could have been more concise by instead saying Leviathan's lift spine is not wider than the width of the rails. It's certainly both deeper and wider than normal spine. Also worth noting is the distance between the rails and the spine on the lift, the ties are a fair bit deeper.

^Yes that is also true but not something that we have much editing power over in NoLimits. It's kind of a give and take with it- I can lower it to give the thick spine and rails appropriate clearance but then the actual spine and thick spine become so much more obviously separated. I'd rather have the thick spine covering up the actual spine sufficiently than the rails and thick spine being appropriately spaced. This choice gives the ride a bit more pleasant of an appearance.

Support work and general work continues. It's going on slowly but I'm just making sure I pay attention to everything. I don't plan on going all out with 3Ds on this ride, but I think this is my best design work to date. I'm eager to get it on the exchange so I can continue my next two projects; an Intamin Impulse like Cheetah Hunt and a CCI wooden.

^Quite true, there's really no way to replicate the deeper ties, none that I'm privy to anyway. It'll definitely look better with a uniform spine vs a separation. Things are looking great, I look forward to riding.

OM NOM NOM, I love big B&Ms, looks stellar. Did you modify the spine? It looks pretty spot on to me in the second shot.

I have to say, it might not be popular opinion, but having ridden them both in a short span of time Leviathan shat all over Millennium in every way apart from ride duration.

I only decreased the width of the spine by about 5% on both sides and lightened the color a tad bit- otherwise, the shape is completely the same.



I finished all of the basic tasks- supports, flanges, terrain, rotating footers. I have added some proxys, and I have yet to add flora but I certainly will. Expect this on the exchange for next week's run.

I've been rather preoccupied with my music stuff but I figured I'd come check out how you guys were doing. Good to see the community is still alive!
