I need some tips for the terraformer, I finally got my computer to cooperate and can now use it.

The main thing I would like to ask is, should I add supports for my coaster before or after using the terraformer?

Definitely after. Doing supports before terraforming will screw up your supports. Also, be aware that wide wooden supports do not like high terrain.

Alright, thanks.

What about loading your own textures? I'm trying to load a texture but it keeps making the ground all white.

Make sure the textures your are loading are in the teratextures directory.

Odd. I've never had this problem before. Are your video drivers up to date?

Edit: nevermind about the video drivers. I think I figured out your problem. Make sure that your textures are square (for example: 256x256, 512x512, etc.). I just tried loading a 400x300 image in the terraformer and got the same thing as you.

Ahhhhhhhhhh, so THATS why that was happening, that same thing was happening to me a while ago when I was trying to load my own texture into it, I never thought to ask. Well, you've cleared that up for me now aswell kev, thanks [:)]

I was able to load textures that weren't in that directory. [lol]

Anyways, never spend hours trying to smooth terrain. Instead, build the general idea of it and then filter it. Be aware that the filters will lower the height if you're using a smoothing filter. Another important thing is that if you want to have a good part of the track in dips, start by raising the whole terrain. It should eat the track a bit, then lower the areas so that it doesn't eat the track. Hope this helps...

Yeah, it helps, thanks.

The terraformer looked alot harder to use than it actually is.
