Last year, in celebration of Halloween, I uploaded Terror in the Woods. I hadn't necessarily thought about it too much, but it suddenly came to me that I could remove that coaster from the terrain, locate a station at a different point (actually, the original ride's mid-course was at a different spot from where it ended up), and create a new ride with a long downhill run to the lift. Then I started thinking. Well, in August, I started Terror in the Woods II. It's almost finished - just some more custom bracing to do on a few hills. It should be completed and ready for upload by Monday, Oct. 27th, in time for this year's Halloween. Like the first, this one is LONG. It's FAST. And it's dark. This one is more about turns than big drops. I forced myself to use the same terrain, and to avoid duplicating the original ride, I didn't find a way to create big hidden drops. I like this one, though. I hope, once it's uploaded, you'll all have fun. Speaking of fun, it reminds me of FUNNY. I was at Kings Dominion last night with a coaster fan friend (who doesn't do NL). I told him about this ride, and he said, for reasons he couldn't come up with, that the name Terror in the Woods reminded him that he wanted me to go to Famous Dave's with him. Since we were frustrated with the awful operations at KD, we left and went to Famous Dave's. Halloween Haunt is fabulous, but not on a Saturday when the rides are run poorly. Anyway, watch for Terror in the Woods II.
