I also forgot to mention the jack rabbit at celebration city. Faster, steeper, and rougher then it looks. Rought in a good way though like a woodie. And a great amount of head choppers.

Desert Race it looked kind of short and not very intense but the launch is just awesome. I couldn't breathe for 3 seconds ;)

Easily El Toro. I waited about 45 minutes for what I expected to be an ordinary woody that looks a little cooler. That all changed once I was staring down the first drop and experiencing the forceful, but smooth air time on the following hills. Needles to say I was pleasantly surprised with El Toro.

Deja Vu. This was the first summer it was open at Six Flags Over Georgia. First of all, it surprised me that it stayed operating long enough for me to make it through the long ride and actually ride it. Second, I was pleasantly surprised that I was lucky enough to get a spot in the front, giving a great view of the ride. And lastly, the actual ride surprised me in that I have never lost my voice screaming on a coaster before. It was awesome!!

Millenium Force surprised me, as it looked like an incredibly intense ride, but the only intense thing about it were all the flies hitting your face at 93 mph. Corkscrew also surprised me, as it looked small and boring, yet it was very intense and enjoyable.

Cyclone at SFNE. At first I thought it would just be a standard wooden coaster, but then as I got closer and closer to it, it looked even more bizzare. I definitely did not expect all that ejector airtime and the way it pulls you down the drop so hard. What a great ride.

El Toro at SFGAdv surprised me a lot. I had heard a lot of good things about it, but I was expecting it to be just another overhyped ride. It turned out to be one of my favorite coasters.

I'm gonna go ahead and say Tremors.

Wow this ride is amazing, not only to ride but to operate as well, but the latter is another story for another time. Anyway, riding this bad boy is extremely fun, espescally in the back. The first airtime hill after the first drop, out of Tunnel 1 and into Tunnel 2 gives so much ejector, probably considering just how small the hill is compared to the first drop. You obviously don't lose any speed over this hill. Once you enter Tunnel 2, you can tell just how heavy the train is, as it litterally crashes back down onto the road steel with force.

The latteral g's you pull as well as the airtime is incredibly insane in the warped-helix.

The "Bridge Out" headchopper is excelently placed and is visually terrifying. Even after 100 times going under it, it still gets me every time. The final hills before Tunnels 3 & 4 offer great airtime in cars 4,5 & 6, given if the train is a half to full load.

After my first ride on Tremors, I could see why it was in the Top 10 for 9 years. Just a shame it didnt stay in the top 10 for it's 10th anniversary (which is this year).

I'm going to give a small jr Woodie some props. I went to Cypress Gardens last summer to ride the restored Starliner, however the park had another, smaller Woodie called Triple Hurricane. Its specs on paper are pretty deceptive. At 35 mph I didn't expect much out of it. However I found for a jr Woodie, it packed a surprising punch. It certainly made the best out of its small size and moderate speed. Also, I'll have to say the first time I rode a Wild Mouse style coaster I was surprised. They look like a kiddie ride from the outside, however, they are freaking insane little coasters. My first WM style was Bug Out at Wild Adventures, and is always on my "Must Ride" list everytime I'm at the park.

Giant Dipper in Santa Cruz, my first wood. I was about 12 or so and I'd ridden Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain and the Matterhorn before and I'd just recently had the balls to ride the Demon at CGA (though it was the Turn of the Century with only the corkscrew at the time, the next year they turned it into the Demon) and I figured what could this 50 year old, small, noisy wooden thing possibly do?

Well it spanked me, and had me coming back for more.
I learned to respect the wood.
Be sure you're not looking in a mirror before you start pointing fingers.

Revolution at blackpool. Me and a mate were looking at it thinking - this is gonna be crap, but there's no queue so let's do it anyway. One of the better coasters at pbb.

Texas Giant (early 1990s) - this ride was absolutely wicked back in those days.

Flight of Fear - I never hear many people talk about this ride, but I thought it was awesome.

Thunderation - I know... it's just a mine train. But it's a GOOD mine train.

Batman: the Ride - So far, the only coaster i've ever ridden that blurs my vision. It happens every time I ride it too.

I've got to agree that Giant Dipper @ Santa Cruz is a good surprise on experience. I too expected a wooden rollercoaster with a few forces. But the ride blew me away and loved the couple of rides that i've had on it!

TTD @ Cedar Point

I was NOT expecting the acceleration on that thing. It litteraly thrusts me in my seat. And its funny, cause people in line are so scared, and I laugh to myslef because I know they will like it, and if they don't then they ned to go home to there seculded basement.

Anyway. Magnum at cedar point Suprised me the other day. I got tons of airtime, and the rappy arrrow transistions felt smoother. AND it was the first time in a while where the lap bar didn't crush my thighs.

Dominator ( When it was in Geagua lake ) Suprised me, it kicked ass over mantis and Raptor ( The B&M's I am used to ) And I got to ride it 11 times in one day. 7 times in the front. ( Thank you Ohio weather )

Cedar Point FTW

The coaster that shocked me the most has to be Rockin' Roller Coaster as it was the first upside-down ride I'd been on and the speed of it!
