Hmmm, i just so happened to fall accross this yesterday. The new ball coaster being developed by Intamin. It seems that Intamin are developing a new "ball Coaster" concept, very much like the 4d, although seating is slightly diffrent meaning the ride experience may be slightly diffrent. Passengers sit back to back, as you can see in some of the pictures below.

It looks like it wont have to be to big. It also looks very much like the 4d coaster.

Crazy and creative design, looks like you could get some sick G's on a ride like that.

Odd, it reminds me of X first. Track style reminds me of Intamin second.

Third, its nothing more than a test ride. I dont think its an official ride in a park, is it? It seems like its just thrown up in some random place to test out the real mechanics of the ride.

Kind of like how Arrow built a mini 4d in their factory for development :P

But anyways, I don't think it looks ugly or boring. It looks like great fun and hopefully this design developes into a new and exciting coaster/ride type.

Ya, I mean we cant be stuck on the same technology, layouts and ideas we use today. I support any new ideas in the coaster field. I bet its a great thrill ride-like coaster, sort of like Zipper.

Looks fun, but that model was lame looking. And I hope the trains will be longer.

It just swings. So it wouldnt be quite a fast or thrilling ride, but it could be VERY fun. I love to flip around and such, why I love the Chance Chaos rides. I could see with a couple cars and a longer track, maybe with some blocks, you could do a mouse'ish style ride. Hmmm....

I think it looks very interesting, and it would be capable of some amazingly unique elements all while swinging around which would be very fun! But im guessing the ride would be quite expensive (thats if it is on a larger scale which it will be most probably) but i dont know why i think that! In this case who do you think would purchase this design first? Thats if Intamin actually begin to produce them.

They will use LIM's and mag brakes to use momentum to flip the cars. The wheel assembly doesn't look like it can rotate or twist, so it's limited for vertical movement.
It looks like a great concept to me, although I don't think it's feasable unless you go with at least the 20m tall version they offer, or bigger. Anything else would be too short and a waste, despite the unique experience.
